Watching the documentary on HBO..wtf

I'll admit I don't know much about Mia Farrow, but I am very intrigued and going to watch this.

From a quick google though it is very sad how many of her adopted children died at young ages, often as a result of suicide / depression. Very tragic.

I think that was a clear ploy to punish Mia Farrow and bully her into dropping Dylan's case.

He has no interest in being a full time father at any point prior. Even when they were 'together' he maintained a fully separate residence partly so that he wasn't bothered by the noise of small children.

That's not what he said. MF said he could be Sinatra's, WA said he could be, Ronan himself said that "Woody Allen, legally, ethically, personally was absolutely a father in our family.", which is not at all the same as saying he thinks he's biologically his father.

Yes that is so many kinds of wrong that I can't even believe it. That decision bears an investigation of its own.

I think it's telling that he also did a complete turn around in what he believed.

Woody Allen is a creep. Mind you, so is Soon-Yi, but she has a good excuse with her early years prior to adoption being so traumatic. He's just an entitled creep.

It all seems like a bit of a train wreck with both parents at various degrees of fucked up at various times. I guess none of us can possibly know what happened but my first response has always been to believe Dylan. The ramifications of her accusations have been awful for her, but she has never wavered. WA seems to have carried on as normal.

One thing I do think is relevant is that Ronan Farrow is a very bright man and seems more stable and considered than the rest of them. He was there and he 100% stands by Dylan. He also went on to be a pivotal figure in the exposure of Weinstein at some cost to his own career (Catch and Kill is worth a read). Taken all together that seems to be a very strong indicator against WA.

@Ratonastick I totally agree. Ronan is an incredibly bright and articulate man who seems also to have principles. He is a Rhodes scholar and former UNICEF spokesperson. It is very telling that he believes Dylan absolutely.

My DF went to school with Woody Allen. I am the same age as Soon Yi. DF stopped watching his films after he got together with Soon Yi.
I'm not sure I believe everything that it is alleged he did , but I do find it deeply disturbing that he decided to adopt two girls.
