So I’ve worked all week (early years setting) with two kids whose parent has Covid, they are allowed to attend due to the rules in Scotland, they could have Covid as under 5s are exempt from asymptomatic testing. If I get Covid and I feel like it’s only a matter of time, my daughter can carry on her life as normal, as per the rules in Scotland, but I’m a single parent with no back up, if I get Covid can I take my daughter, to school, activities, etc as long as I stay in the car?

Everyone I know in early years is worrying about exposure at work just now this is not just me catastrophising, all childminders I know are refusing to take kids with a positive case in the house.

OP won't be getting out of the car though? Of course as a single parent you get your kids to school, they've missed enough. If you breakdown have a mask ready and stay well away from whoever comes out to you.
