why do ppl have to broadcast everything on whatsapp status .

AIBU to think that if you broadcast everything on whatsapp status : friends you meet and parties you have attended ,food you made you .there is something missing in your life ? no judgement please just honestly what you all think ?

People are free to post whatever they want on their social media channels. No one is forcing you to look. So for this, YABU

On Whattsap? To a group or something? I haven’t come across this on Whattsap, I thought that’s what Instagram etc was for.

Do people honestly read a status on WhatsApp? Why would someone even go looking for that?

You mean stories, where people share photos?
That's literally what it's there for so...
it's like saying people share too many photos on Instagram

Literally nobody on my WhatsApp list does this. I've honestly never seen it. Is it really that common?

It's like this (see random food photo I picked!)
You click add to status (and can add a comment) and it creates a story, much like FB or IG stories

I haven't a clue what you're talking about. How do you see someone's status? My contacts could possibly be doing this but I think it's unlikely...

Nobody I know really uses WhatsApp status - most of my contacts just have emojis there, or commonly things like ‘sleeping’ / ‘thinking about gin’ which they haven’t updated in years - do people use it like Twitter/Facebook then?

I’ve just checked and no one on of my friends list is doing this- just a random contact I had from ages ago has a ‘status’ update of a picture of Ronaldo 🤷🏻‍♀️

not all in my contact list do it .But 1 or 2 frds do it

Oh I've just looked and see what you mean. It's no different to other social media I suppose.

I wouldn't do it though because I am guessing it is viewable by everyone in your contacts list with WhatsApp which I wouldn't want.

You can set it to certain contacts It basically is Instagram stories by another name!

I wanted to know what others think or its just me who feels like that .may be I am too shy and its quite common now .
