If you had £70 to spend on Amazon what would you buy?

I have £70 on Amazon vouchers to spend. I'd like to buy something nice just for me, maybe frivolous or a little bit luxurious. I know it's not a great deal of money but I don't want to waste it on boring sensible things! What would people buy from Amazon for £70-£100 (I can top up if needed)?

Smellies? Candles? Foot spa? Hairdryer?

PrincessNutella · 12/08/2021 20:29

art supplies

FizzyPink · 12/08/2021 20:34

Books
And right now I want an outrageous flamingo pool float for my holiday but I can’t decide if it’s a bit ridiculous for a woman in her 30s with no kids

neverknowinglyunreasonable · 12/08/2021 20:35

Three bottles of gin and some earplugs.

FizzyPink · 12/08/2021 20:36

Oh also I’d buy my olaplex no.3 and the shampoo and conditioner but make sure it’s not a fake as they can be dodgy from Amazon

malmi · 12/08/2021 20:38

Why not spend it on a gift voucher and then you can choose anything you like

lostinabook · 12/08/2021 20:39

Bone conduction swimming headphones. Niche I know but I can't justify the 60 quid at the moment

DarlingCoffee · 12/08/2021 20:40

Torres crisps can be got from Amazon - I’d probably get a box of them! And some new books

Snugglepumpkin · 12/08/2021 20:43

Silk pillowcases.
They are so nice for your hair but cost silly money for a nice one.
If I have a silk pillowcase on the bed & brush my hair before I get in at night, in the morning my hair looks mostly brushed still instead of looking like I lost a fight with a hedge in the night.

Id trade it in ( I believe there are sites where you can do that) and spend it on Not on the Highstreet, or sights that promote small businesses.

I've given up supporting Bezos (I know, he must be heartbroken).

flameycakes · 12/08/2021 20:45

I spent some vouchers on an airfryer recently, I'd been umming and arring about getting one for ages, it's turned out to be an excellent choice

JaninaDuszejko · 12/08/2021 20:49

Books.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 12/08/2021 20:49

Cordless straighteners.

Very specific 😂

Defiantly41 · 12/08/2021 20:53

Ophir gin
Olaplex
A few paperbacks for holidays (!)
Malamado - if you like port, it's 'port' made from Malbec wine
Pretty notebook

Essentialironingwater · 12/08/2021 20:56

I'd buy three really nice coffee table books. With photos of eccentric designers houses or interesting architecture or something Grin probably not what you mean though...

Moraxella · 12/08/2021 20:56

A gel nails machine!

RoseMartha · 12/08/2021 20:59

I was given this about this amount in vouchers and I spent it on a beautiful set of multicoloured rosewood circular/ double pointed knitting needles!

They made me really happy (what a saddo!)

TheSunIsStillShining · 12/08/2021 21:01

probably the least helpful tip...
either:

  • corsette (real bone, not some flimsy stuff)
  • steampunk clothing
  • proper silk kimono
  • a few books on music theory/bass guitar
TheLovelinessOfDemons · 12/08/2021 21:02

I have no idea. I never have that much money.

Holothane · 12/08/2021 21:03

My blanket I want (photo one)

nokidshere · 12/08/2021 21:03

That's a bit like 'how long is a piece of string'. Depends what you think is frivolous and personal to you? Do you have hobbies? Are you a lady that lunches? Are you into drinking or eating?

If it were me I'd spend it on craft stuff because that's what makes me happy and relaxed. But Amazon is a very big place so,the possibilities are endless

sylbunny · 12/08/2021 21:04

Oh I forgot they sold booze! I also love the idea of something silk and silly for flapping around the house in!

They have a long shelf life don't they? Amazon vouchers I mean. You don't need to rush unless you've already had them years 😁

CastleCrasher · 12/08/2021 21:06

I keep a wishlist on Amazon in case this ever happens to me (it never has, but a girl can dream!!)
On mine at the moment:

  • lots (and lots) of Kindle books and a few hard copies
  • aromatherapy oil
  • very pretty pen
  • new gym gear
  • Clinique moisturiser
  • new colouring pencils and colouring books
