If you had £70 to spend on Amazon what would you buy?

I have £70 on Amazon vouchers to spend. I'd like to buy something nice just for me, maybe frivolous or a little bit luxurious. I know it's not a great deal of money but I don't want to waste it on boring sensible things! What would people buy from Amazon for £70-£100 (I can top up if needed)?

A heat pad for my chronic tummy ache!

Makeup!

@neverknowinglyunreasonable

Three bottles of gin and some earplugs.
That also really tickled me. You'd have a fabulous weekend ignoring your DC and DH.

OP if you don't have a Kindle, you need one of those. The paperwhite at slightly over £100 is the best one.

But I agree with a PP that you don't need to rush to spend them, they either never expire or last 10 years, I'm not sure which but you do have ages and Amazon almost certainly aren't at risk of going bust.

HunterHearHelmsley@ can you suggest some good cordless straighteners, I have been looking but they all seem to be travel ones.

sylbunny · 13/08/2021 05:15

Thanks again for all these ideas! I love hearing what you'd buy!

I have a kindle for those asking but mainly use it on my phone app anyway.

Last time I had a Amazon voucher I spent it on 2 nut cracker figures!

I'm looking at kettle bells ... kettle bells and gin maybe? I'm trying to lose weight so any suggestions in that area?

Luxury hair/facial goodies? I’m obsessed with crochet so I’d buy a big pile of crochet books. Enjoy your spending. 😊

Just added a couple of things from this thread to my wish list and had a review of it while I was there. Leg massager, flat comfy sandels, neck fan, anti aging cream. Now I’m throughly depressed because if that is the very definition
of middle aged menopausal shopping list.

I'd buy an Alexa Dot or Echo, if you don't already have one. They're great! And you'd still have money left over from the Dot!

An ice making machine, eg this one is a good price.

Or a portable evaporative air cooler. Get one with ice packs and a timer.

Both have been brilliant buys this summer.

Or some really good quality high thread count pure cotton sheets if you don't own any. So lovely to get into every night.

I'm debating on buying that now, we use so much ice, trying to figure where I'll keep it.

Bluetooth headphones

newnortherner111 · 13/08/2021 15:28

I'd have an Amazon Prime film subscription, assuming the vouchers can be spent for that.

Thomasina79 · 13/08/2021 15:54

I recently bought a heated hair brush for £40 which is really good much better than ones I’ve had before. Made by revlon. I also bought a wonderful tangle teezer hairbrush. Not exactly luxury items, but if I’d had a voucher that would be what I would have spent it on. The other £20? Something for my wonderful, incredibly intelligent and beautiful two year old granddaughter! Her delight in a new toy would be worth more to me than than spending it on myself.

OP, some shops who don’t necessarily sell on Amazon let you pay by Amazon pay. So you could credit your Amazon account, then purchase through Woolovers or Mountain Warehouse and amazon.co.uk/?ld=NSGoogle these places]]

TheGoogleMum · 13/08/2021 17:42

I'd save it until I thought of something tbh. Maybe a board game!

Proudboomer · 13/08/2021 17:52

I had a bit of spare cash last month and spent £70 on a new cat tower and some kitchen mats.
Bit boring but my cats love the tower and it keeps them off my mantle piece and the kitchen mats have cute llamas on them.
