If you have not very thick pubic hair, as in it’s patchy and fine, what do you do with it?

If I leave mine it just looks like I have some sort of horrible disease and if I lop it off I can cope with the itchy regrowth. Trying to shave it into a shape also looks fairly stupid!

Currently very pregnant so am having to use a mirror and it’s the first time I’ve really had a good look at what it all looks like and I’m not feeling terribly great about it!

Haha!

I just trim mine right down to the shortest length using an electric razor so I don’t get the ingrown hairs I get if I wet shave.

Flaunch · 06/08/2021 12:01

I am well past caring what my pubes look like tbh. I just trim the edges before I need to wear a swimming costume and that’s it.

30degreesandmeltinghere · 06/08/2021 12:02

Victoria Wood did a great sketch about hacking at hers with some nails scissors!!
Hilarious!!

Dogscanteatonions · 06/08/2021 12:02

Hey a Seiko cleancut razor - honestly it's amazing. It trims right down to the skin but never any ingrown hairs or soreness as the blades don't actually touch the skin. After the initial trim you just need a quick whizz over every couple of days

quizqueen · 06/08/2021 12:08

Get it waxed and regrowth will not be stubbly.

SheABitSpicyToday · 06/08/2021 12:19

I’m far too much of a whimp to get it waxed. I pulled one out with a tweezer once and cried Grin

I don't do anything with it. My pubes just exist in whatever natural form they have. I can't say I have ever looked to see what that is tbh, not since I was about 14 anyway.

thanksforyourcommentrandomman · 06/08/2021 12:23

Hair removal cream for me but not all over, just to keep it neat and tidy - I trim the remainder with scissors

sleepyhead · 06/08/2021 12:23

I've stopped bothering. Discovered that shorty swimsuits were a thing and now don't even trim.

Henio · 06/08/2021 12:24

Mine went really fine and patchy when I was pregnant but went back to normal after I'd given birth and finished breastfeeding. You may find yours grow back at some point 😄

dementedpixie · 06/08/2021 12:25

I use a lady shave sometimes to make it short but not fully removed

wobblywinelover · 06/08/2021 12:25

You haven't seen your pubes since you were 14? surely you must have some idea of what's going on down there, do you wash?!
budgun · 06/08/2021 12:30

I can't ever remember actively looking at them as an adult.

surely you must have some idea of what's going on down there,

Yes, I have hair.

do you wash?!

Of course I wash. What a stupid question.

Mydogisagentleman · 06/08/2021 12:34

Mine are the way nature intended.

TheQueef · 06/08/2021 12:40

I rewilded years ago.
Still begrudge all the time and effort wasted over the years just because Gillette wanted more money and are good at marketing.

Grow em back imo.

LukeDogWalker · 06/08/2021 12:51

Mine have got very patchy menopause I think! I just trim off what ever is getting in the way and leave the restSmile

HPLikecraft · 06/08/2021 12:55

Short trim with Wilkinson trimmer. Or just leave it. I do both of those.

romany4 · 06/08/2021 13:05

Same! It looks like a patchy old man's chin...

Member984815 · 06/08/2021 15:09

Hollywood wax here, every 5 weeks. I hate hair down there on me.

CounsellorTroi · 06/08/2021 15:28

I'm another one with patchy pubes. Half of them fell out when my thyroid stopped working properly and never grew back.

WiddlinDiddlin · 06/08/2021 15:34

Hollywood, every 5 weeks.

It is not remotely comparable to plucking one pube out with tweezers, but find someone who does non-strip wax, where the wax sets and forms its own strip, as this is far kinder to skin and far less painful than strip wax.

Once you've been a few times, the regrowth is very even, you won't get stubble and as long as you exfoliate properly you won't get ingrown hairs either.

Ye Gods who has the time or inclination to exfoliate their pubic area.

Do men get all worked up like this about theirs?
