If you have not very thick pubic hair, as in it’s patchy and fine, what do you do with it?

If I leave mine it just looks like I have some sort of horrible disease and if I lop it off I can cope with the itchy regrowth. Trying to shave it into a shape also looks fairly stupid!

Currently very pregnant so am having to use a mirror and it’s the first time I’ve really had a good look at what it all looks like and I’m not feeling terribly great about it!

@JinglingHellsBells some do, yes.
It's personal choice

Thank God I've never met a man who does that.

Mistyplanet · 06/08/2021 15:48

I shave the lot, i get some itchyness the first few days when it regrows but it calms down then. There's also nair hair removal cream for "tough hair" ! I wouldn't use that if i was pregnant though because of the chemicals.

FrankButchersDickieBow · 06/08/2021 15:50

I just give mine a trim with scissors when necessary. Otherwise they are left to run free as nature intended.

I'm not in to the last chicken on the shelf baldy minge look.

It's only the patriarchy that have fooled women into believing hairy fannies are disgusting.

toocold54 · 06/08/2021 16:12

@WiddlinDiddlin I would like to get waxed as it seems so much easier but I have never been brave enough!! I don’t get embarrassed going to smears or anything though.

What actually happens when you go to get a wax? Do you wear underwear?

Ericaequites · 06/08/2021 16:14

We are meant to have public hair. Removing it is an unnecessary trouble and expense. It’s part of being a sexually mature adult.

SheABitSpicyToday · 06/08/2021 16:15

Even getting my eyebrows waxed left me in tears so no way am I getting my pubes done! Have ended up with a sad bald fan as tried to shape it and messed it up Sad

I think maybe because mine are straight, that’s why they look patchy. Perhaps a pubic perm might make them look better Grin

Get a trimmer and take it right down to the wood. I've found grey pubes recently. Waaahh.

By that logic, we should all look like cavewomen, with a lifetime of hair all over us. Even if you didn’t mean public.

It's only the patriarchy that have fooled women into believing hairy fannies are disgusting.

I’ve been single for years.
I shave my pubic area, legs and underarms simply because I find it more comfortable.

mustlovegin · 06/08/2021 17:29

I pulled one out with a tweezer once and cried

Doing it with wax (and pulling a whole lot in one go) will not hurt as much as pulling one single hair with a tweezer. Everyone's pain threshold is different though

mustlovegin · 06/08/2021 17:33

Get a trimmer and take it right down to the wood

This is probably a good option if you find any kind of pulling painful.

Bear in mind that hair needs to be rather fair/very light in colour if you want to do this and wear a swimming suit. If hair is dark, it is likely to show

I just prefer to remove it, regardless of men.
Paint69 · 06/08/2021 17:47

I don't know it is so difficult to comprehend that some of us shave our pubic hair simply because WE don't like it and find it more comfortable when removed. Not because men want us to. Frankly if DH tried to have any say in my hair removing habits, I'd tell him where to gom

Idontbelieveit14 · 06/08/2021 17:50

Mine is like a reverse Mohican 😂 bald down the middle wtf 😳

JinglingHellsBells · 06/08/2021 19:12

Buy a merkin @SheABitSpicyToday

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 06/08/2021 19:31

Jenny Eclair has definitely covered this in a standup routine.

GhostCurry · 06/08/2021 19:34

Trim them. Like use an electric hair trimmer. This is the answer you are looking for.

Regrowth from shaving is hideous

FizzyPink · 06/08/2021 19:36

I just wax all mine off. I had laser years ago and some of it has grown back but some hasn’t so it’s terribly patchy if I don’t.

user1473878824 · 06/08/2021 19:42

Waxing honestly isn’t that bad! If you’re dark haired you could have it lasered (worth it!)

I find it so mind numbing when people come on threads like this just to say they don’t do anything as if liking your pubic hair a certain way makes you a lesser being.

Mind numbing? Really? You can't see that me leaving my hair in it's natural state is also 'liking it a certain way'

I don't think anyone is a lesser being because of what they choose to do with their pubes.

Hadenoughofthisbullshit · 06/08/2021 19:47

Beard trimmer, I have a Philips one blade.

I think you're suggesting that if we didn't shave our body hair it would continue to grow and grow?! But obviously that's a nonsense, even if I didn't know from personal experience of having only shaved once or twice in my lifetime, it's clear that men's armpit hair doesn't reach their knees despite never being trimmed.
