Who is in the wrong here?

DP is playing games online with his friends. DC is upstairs sleeping, I just managed to get him down. Told DP to keep the noise down because he keeps shouting, he acknowledges me, begrudgingly.

Next thing he let's out loud laugh, again, I tell him to keep it down and he gets shitty with me.

I tell him that he's a father and should know better than to be yelling when DC is sleeping, he tells me to go fuck myself.

Who is in the wrong?

He sounds like an immature man-child and a crappy partner and father, but you already know that. He probably does, too, on some level, but he's selfish enough not to care.

Yeah he's being a dickhead.

I'd tippy-toe and trip the switch on the fusebox and fuck up his game. Then tippy toe back to wherever and pretend you have no idea what cut out the electric.

Alternatively you could just demand a basic amount of decency and respect with zero need for "tippy-toes" Confused

After you've unplugged it at the wall, tell the rude bastard to fuck off and live somewhere else.
This isn't a little thing - he is completely disrespectful. Let this go and that will set the tone for your whole relationship. Imagine your child or your parents hearing him speak to you like that. I bet he doesn't speak to his work colleagues in that manner, so why would you, the mother of his baby, deserve less?

My ex husband of twenty years was an absolute twat, but he never ever would have said that. Mind, I wish he had have, because I would have ended our relationship then and there. Not acceptable.

True but that's not gonna get anywhere with him by the sounds of it he sounds like a child having a "OMG MUM YOU ALWAYS DO THIS!!"

Having his game fucked up mid-session will piss him off something shocking and feel good.
