DP is playing games online with his friends. DC is upstairs sleeping, I just managed to get him down. Told DP to keep the noise down because he keeps shouting, he acknowledges me, begrudgingly.

Next thing he let's out loud laugh, again, I tell him to keep it down and he gets shitty with me.

I tell him that he's a father and should know better than to be yelling when DC is sleeping, he tells me to go fuck myself.

I have to remind my 16yo about noise level when gaming.

He's never be so disrespectful to say that to me.

Note: this is a teen boy.

Not a grown up or a father.

Why do you even have to ask? Has he gaslit you before into believing this is a normal way to treat you?

Is his conversation and laughing waking the child? If not I can see why he's a bit annoyed at being told off however he's a complete dick to speak to you like that. You deserve respect.

"I think I'd unplug the console and then have a bitch fit."
