Mine is either a toasted wrap with Nutella and sliced banana with a strong cup of tea or sometimes I go for a toasted bagel with crunchy peanut butter and also with a sliced banana - simply yum!

A bacon and hash brown wrap normally

dreaming174 · 31/07/2021 15:28

Lovely sourdough with butter and marmite or a raisin Danish.

SecretWitch · 31/07/2021 15:30

Excellent coffee
Croissant with butter

Sparklesocks · 31/07/2021 16:22

A fry up or a sausage sandwich with fresh bloomer bread/baguette from the grocers

Newrumpus · 31/07/2021 16:23

Waking up and remembering it’s the weekend and I don’t have to go to work.

AlexaShutUp · 31/07/2021 16:23

I like to pop into a local cafe for a flat white and a pain au raisin. This morning, my cafe of choice was closed, so I missed out!Sad

chunderwunder · 31/07/2021 17:35

In what world is a bagel with peanut butter and banana a 'treat'? Surely that's a normal healthy breakfast. (I'm taking treat to mean something you wouldn't normally eat because it's not particularly nutritious).

Is this going to turn into some thread about how CARBS kill and peanut butter is DEVIL'S FOOD?

Sapnupuas · 31/07/2021 17:36

Bagel. Bacon. Spicy cheese. Mayo.

I've not had this for ages!

NeverDropYourMooncup · 31/07/2021 17:49

Bacon sandwich (crusty bread/sourdough, preferably with lettuce, tomato and avocado) or for extreme circumstances/weather conditions, Roadkill Baguette - egg, bacon, sausage, ketchup, chilli sauce and onions. Plus two hot black coffees and a mug of tea chaser.

Salty, fatty animal products hit the spot that no amount of well intentioned health foods or fancy pastries can never reach.

MintyCedric · 31/07/2021 18:02

Not every Saturday but on the rare occasions I get one to myself to be indulgent I'll have eggs Royale.

itbemay1 · 31/07/2021 18:05

Fresh sourdough, scrambled egg and a cooked salmon fillet Grin

itbemay1 · 31/07/2021 18:06

Or a bacon bagel

Scarby9 · 31/07/2021 18:09

Bacon sandwich out with friends at a cafe with a view.

ByTheSea · 31/07/2021 18:12

FaceTiming with my DD

ScouseQueen · 31/07/2021 18:15

First breakfast: fancy pastries and pot of coffee

Second breakfast:(call it brunch if it makes you feel better) bacon sandwiches and another pot of coffee

MyNameForToday1980 · 31/07/2021 18:15

We like American pancakes (the fluffy ones), maple syrup, cold butter, and strawberries.

dorothygaleandtoto · 31/07/2021 18:20

A bacon sandwich and a cup of tea after parkrun is the finest meal of the week!

actiongirl1978 · 31/07/2021 18:20

This morning was eggs and salmon on sourdough - our own eggs from our girls in the garden.

Sometimes is it sourdough from the incredible deli near us and pate or trout pate.

Saturday treats involve amazing bread and segue very quickly into 'finished all the Saturday chores, let's have a beer/G&T' time.

PattyPan · 31/07/2021 18:21

A lie in! No breakfast cos I’m too busy sleeping.
A slice of toast with peanut butter and sliced banana is a normal midweek breakfast for me.

ParishSpinster · 31/07/2021 18:32

I don't eat breakfast but I cannot beat sitting somewhere quiet on my own with a huge cup of coffee with nobody asking me to watch what they are doing or talk to me non stop for 16 hours. Being able to read a book with a cup of coffee in either a cafe or out in my garden or even a nice outdoor spot? Perfection. Sets me up for the weekend.

AbsolutelySure · 31/07/2021 18:33

@Newrumpus

Waking up and remembering it’s the weekend and I don’t have to go to work.

Agreed. Also sleeping in after 6.30 am would be nice

I do an early 5K run with a few friends. Don't eat before, but love my coffee and scone afterwards, even if outside in the cold and rain.

RaindropsOnRosie · 31/07/2021 18:43

A starbucks iced coffee (sometimes a ridiculously sweet frappe thing) with some pastries and a very early morning walk or drive with DH. We pick up some fresh bread on the way home for lunch/elevenses.
