Where has he put the bloody crayon??? Help me find it.

I've asked him but just toddles off babbling. I've moved the sofa and tables but cant find it. I know he'll find it and end up scribbling over furniture

Either in his nappy or he's eaten it..... Then it will be in his nappy eventually.

The little hole in the side of the radiator! EVERYTHING gets posted in the radiator. It is the toddler law.

Argh this is like the saga of DD2's trainer cup. She could talk by that point but she couldn't remember where she'd put it. I think it took 2 hours to find it on the bottom bookshelf.

Do you have a cupboard or drawers that you're certain he can't open and therefore haven't checked?
DD definitely couldn't get in the cupboard under the stairs but amazingly some of her lost items did.

I was going to suggest in a shoe, through the letterbox or inside tumble dryer (imagine the mess!)

My LG was eating a brown crayon earlier and I only realised because she was saying "mmm chocolate" and I knew I hadn't given her chocolate...

Realistically, it's probably under the sofa.

When I was pregnant with DS2, I lost the urine sample I had prepared for the midwife. I looked everywhere.

The previous owners of our house had built a new porch with a new front door, but left the old front door in place as an inner door. It still had a letter flap near the floor which was never used.

DS1 (aged nearly 2) had "posted" the urine sample through the old letter flap, but not far enough for it to drop through the other side. It was some time before we discovered it. 😯 Thankfully it was tightly sealed.

Look for small holes and slots. I once had a repairman out for the brand new DVD player. He sorted everything out but mused that it was a new model that contained components that he didn’t recognise. I instantly identified them as Lego Bionicle anatomy that small DS had posted into the slot.

I lost my glasses once,many years ago, and my daughter, then aged about three.. had put my glasses on a teddy bear, that was sitting in a little child's pushchair outside in the garden.

Try washing his clothes. I was looking for a lost toy the other day, washed my toddlers clothes and it was in the washing machine after the wash had finished. Maybe secret toddler magic adults dont know about yet?
