Just woke DH up with a massive fart - who IBU?

I can’t sleep so MNing in bed. DH asleep next to me. I am on my side turned away from him due to light from phone and suddenly a very loud and long fart (machine gun variety) escapes . Took me rather by surprise or I would have tried to suppress it!

DH jumps up, realises what it was and honestly you’d think I’d crapped the bed or something . He is disgusted and absolutely furious I woke him up as he has to be up for work early, as if I meant to, and has stormed off to sleep downstairs!

AIBU to think he’s being an arse!

No smell, mine rarely do thankfully, just long and loud. I’m generally good at holding them in.

I farted so loud in my sleep that I woke dh up but he just heard a loud noise and spent 10 minutes looking round the house to see what it was. I still haven't owned up

It’s probably just because it made him jump and took him out of a deep sleep, people generally aren’t at their most reasonable when that happens!

Everyone farts, it’s a loud unexpected noise that’s quite funny really.

My 4 year old is the sleep machine gun farter champion in our household.

He’s unreasonable but being woken up from a deep sleep makes anyone a giant grumpy butthole.

He got a fright! Being waken up suddenly from a deep sleep is really disorientating.

My DH farted last night in the kitchen and I ran out in fright thinking my DS was crying. DH thought it was so funny but I was really upset!!!

He should be thankful it didn’t smell. I don’t know what’s caused it but I can currently clear a room with people gagging.

I’m always farting at or on dh in bed I sleep facing the window.

Nothing better than an early morning farting competition, oh and I have them most mornings

I have IBS and I'm lactose intolerant.

I've managed to get my partner to leave the room we're in, exclaiming "what the fuck has died in your arse!"

Also as a side note, he does the loudest farts I've ever heard in the mornings. So we're even.

My 2 1/2 year old looks at me with such a twinkle in her eye and a massive grin when she does those big machine gun farts. It's impossible not to find it hilarious.
