Could anyone please help me identify what bites these are? Dust mites, fleas or bed bugs? They are on the feet, legs and arms. They are really really itchy. Thanks

Are they in clusters of three? That would suggest flea.

PleaseReferToMeAsBritneySpears · 13/07/2021 11:55

Dust mites don't bite. They feed off dead skin not blood. (I think)

PleaseReferToMeAsBritneySpears · 13/07/2021 11:57

Wish we could edit! They feed *on, not off!

starray · 13/07/2021 11:59

Yes, not all, but quite a few patches are in clusters of three. Oh no, fleas!

Better than bed bugs 😂

Janaih · 13/07/2021 12:00

Look like mosquito bites to me

Dresssos · 13/07/2021 12:02

Sorry, cross posted! Looks like flea bites to me OP. Get some Indorex Spray. Worked wonders when my cat brought fleas in!

starray · 13/07/2021 12:03

@Dresssos

Do you have a pet?
Yes, a cat, but I can't see any fleas on the cat

starray · 13/07/2021 12:05

Thanks for all the replies. Will have to work on getting rid of them.

starray · 13/07/2021 12:06

Dresssos, I can't use Indorex on bedding can I? It looks pretty poisonous

Mosquito bites on me look like that. Have you been in the garden or leave windows open. They seem to love warm weather when it rains.

MrsToothyBitch · 13/07/2021 12:08

Could be mos bites but the grouping looks flea bitey to me.

CherryPlumCrow · 13/07/2021 12:09

No just use it on the carpets. Wash the bedding.
You need to treat the cat for fleas too.
That's if it is fleas. They look like gnat/mozzie bites to me.

enjoyingscience · 13/07/2021 12:10

I fired is bloody brilliant, but you have to be really on top of hoovering for it to work properly. Good luck!

PumpkinKlNG · 13/07/2021 12:10

I found indorex rubbish tbh, spent £20 for it in the vets and didn’t get rid of them, had to call in a professional, they look like mosquito bites to me I wouldn’t waste your money on flea stuff unless you can see them, stand on the carpet and they will jump up on your legs, you would see them.

enjoyingscience · 13/07/2021 12:10

Indorex, not I fired!

starray · 13/07/2021 12:16

But we are in England. No mosquitoes in England?

OP posts:
DogsSausages · 13/07/2021 12:19

There are trillions of millions of mosquitoes in England.

rbe78 · 13/07/2021 12:28

@starray There are mosquitoes everywhere in the UK. I currently have about five mosquito bites from being out in my garden yesterday evening.

PleaseReferToMeAsBritneySpears · 13/07/2021 12:31

Fleas live in the carpet and only ride on the cat to feed, so you won't necessarily see them on the cat.

Yes, mozzie bites are common at the moment, but they're not usually in clusters of three.
