I have high anxiety anyway.
I was in the office today wearing a fitted dress, went to Asda on way home then was putting the shopping away when my dc said he could see my pants. The dress had split all the way up at yhe back. I hope it was in the car buy I could have walked round asda showing my pants which are glow in the dark.
Do I never leave the house again?

Please don't even give it a second thought. No-one cares.

Arbadacarba · 01/07/2021 18:20

Most of us have had a skirt-tucked-into-pants embarrassment at least once in our lives - this is the same; no one will think anything of it.

SteveArnottsWaistcoat · 01/07/2021 18:21

Glow in the dark pants???! I need these in my life!

spotcheck · 01/07/2021 18:23

Aw, you know- things have been tough. You may have given a few people a fantastic story
😊

Daisychaincarrot · 01/07/2021 18:23

I walked from my house to the car (parked next to a play park full of people), from the car park into about 5 shops in town before someone told me that my dress was tucked into my knickers. The lady who told me was behind me on an escalator and didn’t tell me until we had reached the top.

I hope everyone enjoyed the view whilst I died of embarrassment

Theblackdogagain · 01/07/2021 18:25

Glow in the dark pants were an asda Halloween special, I know I've put Weight on but I guess this is the proof.

Ilovesleeeeep · 01/07/2021 18:26

I would think of it like this, if you had been walking round asda with your pants showing I'm sure somebody would have said something to make you aware 🙂

P.s loving the idea of glow in the dark ones 😂

Minfilia · 01/07/2021 18:26

FWIW I think if anyone had seen, you’d have been told by someone! I certainly would. I’ve had strangers point out wardrobe malfunctions to me in the past. And I once drove home in a wrap top with one boob hanging out.

It’s nothing to be embarrassed about, these things happen Grin

PinkCast · 01/07/2021 18:27

I need to know more about the Glow in the dark pants!! Where can I get them? Grin

OP, convince yourself that it only happened after you got home - you'll be fine Wink

Catawaul · 01/07/2021 18:29

I don't think your pants could have been on show in Asda or you'd have had people asking where you got them!

Heelsofsteel · 01/07/2021 18:32

It’s ok op. I once did the school run with my husbands underpants velcroed to my raincoat collar. I’d caught them off the washing line on the way through the front garden and not noticed Grin. Glow in the dark pants? Love it

AutistGoth · 01/07/2021 18:35

I need Halloween briefs in my life...

Please try not to worry about this too much, OP. I appreciate that it must be embarrassing, but I doubt anyone saw otherwise someone would have said sonething.

Even if you did show your briefs in the supermarket, I doubt anyone you know would have seen you. You would have just been another person. Can you remember the face of anyone you saw in the supermarket? Even if their boxers/briefs were on show? I certainly can't.

MissMissTorrance · 01/07/2021 18:35

I'm also sure someone would have said something to you.

tnetenba · 01/07/2021 18:35

Someone would have said if it had happened in or before Asda. Try not to think about it anymore.

Anyways even if it was so what? Nothing you can do about it now and if anyone did see they will have completely forgotten about it by now. And again, so what?

I don't mean it in a way to downplay your anxiety. I just personally find it helpful to think about things this way. Did anyone die? Is anyone going to die because of it? Well it really doesn't matter then. Life goes on Flowers.

Bettyboopawoop · 01/07/2021 18:38

Sorry op but I am laughing at glow in the dark knickers lol reminds me of the time I went on the school run and saw a mother trailing a pair of dirty knickers out of the bottom of her jeans, they must have been ones shed had on the day before, I had to tell her they were on full show in a busy playground.

Poorkitty · 01/07/2021 18:40

I was once at a music festival, walked out of the porter loo in front of crowds of people and into an open field where my friends were, felt a breeze and realised my dress was trucked RIGHT into my knickers Blush I just pulled my dress out and didnt look back towards the crowd so I didnt have the imprint of their laughing faces etched into my brain, still to this day I have no idea who saw, I just know many MANY people did 🤣🤷‍♀️ it happens.

heidbuttsupper · 01/07/2021 18:40

My sister once went to Brownies with a pair of yesterday pants in her trouser leg. She had thrown them off the the previous day, put them back on not noticing the pants were still in them Grin

AutistGoth · 01/07/2021 18:41

Also OP, I suffer from anxiety (or "disquietude" as I call it) too. I absolutely know that this is probably torturing you. Please try not to let it. Flowers

And yes, I need to burn off a bit of "lockdown winter padding" too.

Glow in the dark pants in daylight are just pants surely?

I'd not worry OP, you don't even know if anyone saw or registered. If they did, you were none the wiser at the time, so might as well remain that way by choice. No point feeling embarrassed of hypothetical opinions of hypothetical observers!

QueenBee52 · 01/07/2021 18:43

Okay .. I want Glow in the Dark knickers 🤣💕

TheLovelinessOfDemons · 01/07/2021 18:44

I've got shit on my poncho wiping my arse in Sainsbury's toilet before so.....

FlorrieLindley · 01/07/2021 18:45

When something like this happens, my sister and I have a saying: "Nobody died, nobody was made pregnant", therefore all is well.

pigsDOfly · 01/07/2021 18:48

I'm sure, in a shop full of people, someone would have been kind enough to tell you if your pants had been on display, certainly a member of staff, I imagine.

I've told a couple of women at different times in the past when they've tucked their skirts into their pants.

I suspect a lot of women would tell someone.

It very likely happened when you either put the shopping in the car or when you leaned into the car to get it out at home.

Stretchandsnap · 01/07/2021 18:56

I regularly embarrass myself but this reminds me of the time I was queuing for a coffee in the work canteen and i heard this voice say excuse me, I swung around to see a very handsome man who said i think you’ve left the label on your dress not any old label but the giant next pink label with 50% off hanging down my back.

Fine I shrugged it off. 2 weeks later, same queue, same man, excuse me, i thought he was going to say hello but instead he said you have your top on inside out - i went to costa after that
