To think my friend is being a cynical user and I'm being a gullible twit?

Imagine you...

1- give your friend space to advertise their business and services on your Facebook platforms, which have 3000+ members

2- do some work for your friend for free, knowing they will make a little money out of it

3 - invite your friend for first coffee catch-up since lockdown hit - only to get an 'I'm very busy right now but here are my coaching session fees' response.

Am I being unreasonable to be pissed off?

I'm really confused...why is she sending you her fees?

Theboywiththearabstrap · 01/07/2021 13:11

Did you reply with “was that meant for me? 🤨”

CoffeeBeansGalore · 01/07/2021 13:14

If she's that busy then she no longer needs the space on your social media. Remove at once.

VettiyaIruken · 01/07/2021 13:16

Say
Take it off what you owe me for the fb advert and the work I did for you.

BumBurnerBum · 01/07/2021 13:20

I don't understand. Does she think you owe her money or is she asking if you want to buy her services?

HollowTalk · 01/07/2021 13:22

I would remove her from my Facebook page immediately. Her success has clearly gone to her head!

Ohsugarhoneyicetea · 01/07/2021 13:24

Well now you know how to respond next time she wants your free help.

MichelleScarn · 01/07/2021 13:28

Is she now a life coach

QueenBee52 · 01/07/2021 13:30

@HollowTalk

yip..

Are you sure it wasn't an auto message?

Staffy1 · 01/07/2021 13:37

Is it an automated response? Seems kind of odd otherwise...

QueenBee52 · 01/07/2021 13:38

@CatOfTheLand

Are you sure it wasn't an auto message?

an Auto message ?????

whats that.. excuse my ignorance 🤣

mindutopia · 01/07/2021 13:38

The first two seem like normal things to do for a friend if you are supporting their business. The third is odd, but is it on Facebook or some similar platform because it does sound like an auto message.

If it isn't and she is suggesting that you pay for sessions with her if you want to hang out, she's a twat. Also, is she doing this MLM life coaching rubbish? Because if so, she's a twat anyway.

DeathStare · 01/07/2021 13:39

That sounds like either an out of office type reply, or shes got confused and sent a message intended for someone else. If you are sure it isn't the former, I'd respond as if it was the latter: "I think you meant to send that to one of your clients, not me"

MadeForThis · 01/07/2021 13:39

I would assume it's an auto reply.

DeathStare · 01/07/2021 13:41

@QueenBee52 you can set an automatic reply on Facebook messenger, like an out of office email. Everytime I message one friend I get one with full details of her pilates classes!

Claphands · 01/07/2021 13:44

I wonder if it’s the same person I know! She’s a user too.

Minionbums · 01/07/2021 13:46

I agree it sounds automated - give it a bit of time to see if she responds properly

Quiero · 01/07/2021 13:46

It’s clearly a mistake. Send her a text or something.

MiddleParking · 01/07/2021 13:48

Does she definitely consider you to be friends and not business contacts?

QueenBee52 · 01/07/2021 13:49

Aahh okay.. thank you

I don't have Facebook hence my confusion lol 🌸

funeralq · 01/07/2021 13:50

It's clearly an automated response.

hopeishere · 01/07/2021 13:55

It could be an auto reply. My Gardner has one set up - I'll get back to you ASAP type thing.

Coaching sessions in what??

OliviaWainright · 01/07/2021 13:55

Sounds like it was an auto response

KrisAkabusi · 01/07/2021 14:01

It's clearly an automated response! Don't take it personally.
