Just wanting to hear everyone's experiences. What did you experience in the first few weeks of pregnancy? I found out I was pregnant round about 4 weeks I didn't have any symptoms I took a random test for no reason at all and to my surprise it was positive. I instantly stopped smoking and booked myself in for a early scan 2 weeks after I found out which then i found out I was 6w3d literally 3 days after my scan I suffered with feeling really nauseous all day every day for a full week And could only eat what i fancied. Once I turned 7w2d I went off my favourite fresheners and the smell of fags made me feel sick! Once I turned 8 weeks the nauseous feeling disappeared I don't feel pregnant anymore I'm now 9 weeks pregnant and the only symptoms I have id the fresheners and fag smoke still makes me feel sick but apart from that I have nothing?

Has anyone else experienced anything similar as I'm panicking about the lack of symptoms im having?

I didn't really have any early on either. I was nauseous for a while but I also got to about 9 weeks and had no real symptoms. 3 months onwards, the smell of perfume and aftershaves made me feel queasy, couldn't eat meat for a while... No morning sickness. Congratulations Flowers

I am 9 weeks and I didn’t find out until last week… after 3 weeks of symptoms mostly fatigue and then in week 7 nausea which has died down. The one thing that’s been consistent is tender breasts like big time. Otherwise my symptoms have also died down.

Thosepeskypirates · 22/06/2021 19:29

I didn't have any symptoms at all for a good while. That pregnancy ended 9 days ago with a baby boy :) I definitely think different genders affect hormones/symptoms!

ApplesandBananas21 · 22/06/2021 19:30

Congrats!
I only had symptoms between 7-9 weeks, disappeared one day and never returned!

Sciurus83 · 22/06/2021 19:31

All sounds completely normal to me!

Kszw · 22/06/2021 19:33

Thanks everyone for replying. I've been so worried about it all I'm glad I'm not the only one haha, I think I'm over stressing as its taken me 6 years to conceive. So I'm panicking about every little thing. I guess where just lucky I suppose haha :)

I found out I was pregnant at about 7 week's.
The only symptom I had before this, was fatigue I had to go for naps in my car at work on my lunch. I just thought I was burning the candle at both ends too much. About 12 weeks until about 20 weeks I had to keep eating little often to not feel sick.

Congratulations 🎉 on being pregnant

Kszw · 22/06/2021 19:37

@Wowjustwow99 im the complete opposite i can eat anything and everything but I'm not sure if that's down to me stopping smoking or not as I've heard stopping smoking makes you 10x more hungrier. Haha

Sounds exactly like I was. I was told i wouldn't be able to conceive and didn't want children, but there was one day a niggling thought in the back of my mind to get a pregnancy test. Forgot about them for a week, did them and both said I was pregnant. I didn't have any symptoms. Then a couple of weeks later the aversions to certain smells and food started.
Then it was just chicken I couldn't stand. No morning sickness, just nausea.
Then second trimester, all the cravings started and the bump started to show.

SGChome20 · 22/06/2021 19:46

I had different symptoms but similar anxieties to you. All my symptoms disappeared overnight and I was convinced I was having a mmc but all was fine. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

drugsdontwork · 22/06/2021 19:50

How was your scan? Did you see a heartbeat or anything?

With my first I was sick everyday until 25 weeks then it eased.

This time round I was so so sick and in a worse way than with my first so I was worried I wouldn't be able to last until 25 weeks if it was like last time. But around 9 weeks the sickness and tiredness massively eased. Still feeling rubbish most days but it not as bad as it was.

Everyone is different but you could get a scan to ease your mind if you can't wait until 12 weeks.

PS - well done on stopping smoking. It's not easy!

Wowjustwow99 · 22/06/2021 19:51

@Kszw I say enjoy every minute of it Smile

I found out I was pregnant on the day we were meant to get our ivf schedule. This was after many years of trying to conceive.
I never believed I would meet my baby, until she was here. She is now a crazy toddler bed who gets up at 5am every day !

Kszw · 22/06/2021 19:55

@TheSoapyFrog exactly the same, I got diagnosed with pcos and the doctor said I would more than likely need ivf. So the past 2 years I've tried to track my irregular cycle and then in May I bought some ovulation tests and got 10 pregnancy test for free. As soon as they arrived I just took a pregnancy test and there is was it was positive haha it was so strange took me a few days to get my head around it. :)

@drugsdontwork yes I saw my little beans heart beat at 6w3d was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen! I'm glad your kind of having a better pregnancy this time haha. This is my first time being pregnant so I'm hoping I don't have a bad pregnancy either and to be honest I was a heavy smoker and I think the pregnancy helped quite a lot as I totally went off the smell of fag smoke and the thought of it makes me feel sick :)

@SGChome20 thank you that's made me feel a lot better :) I really need to stop over worrying myself :(

drugsdontwork · 22/06/2021 20:02

@Kszw yeah I was the same. With the first I quit as soon as I found out and the second as soon as the sickness kicked in (shouldn't have really started up again)

Kszw · 22/06/2021 20:16

@drugsdontwork im glad I haven't threw up just yet haha I have a Gipping fit every now and then when I smell an air freshener or fag smoke but that's about it

drugsdontwork · 22/06/2021 20:18

@Kszw I can't stand the smell of carbs like bread and my house smells. I've even had my mum round to have a sniff about and she says it just smells like a normal house 🤣

Kszw · 22/06/2021 20:21

@drugsdontwork omg how weird I'm the exact same I keep thinking I'm sofa stinks and them my best friend comes round and she's like it didn't even smell but I can definitely smell something fusty 🤣🤣 that is so strange you said that haha

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I think it’s common for pregnancy symptoms to come and go. I will say that out of my 4 pregnancies, I did lose my symptoms and stopped feeling pregnant before having my 2 missed miscarriages. The only way to know for sure is a scan.

Kszw · 22/06/2021 21:36

@Catscrat I've got my first scan at hospital on the 5th July. I'm just so impatient haha :)

Catscrat · 22/06/2021 21:44

Fingers crossed for you! The waiting is hard!

TakeYourFinalPosition · 22/06/2021 21:54

I’m 14+2 now and haven’t been sick at all, a few days of tiredness but nothing notable. The lack of symptoms has been weird! But I’ve had two scans and all is fine.

The 5th of July will be here in no time. Congratulations!
