Just wanting to hear everyone's experiences. What did you experience in the first few weeks of pregnancy? I found out I was pregnant round about 4 weeks I didn't have any symptoms I took a random test for no reason at all and to my surprise it was positive. I instantly stopped smoking and booked myself in for a early scan 2 weeks after I found out which then i found out I was 6w3d literally 3 days after my scan I suffered with feeling really nauseous all day every day for a full week And could only eat what i fancied. Once I turned 7w2d I went off my favourite fresheners and the smell of fags made me feel sick! Once I turned 8 weeks the nauseous feeling disappeared I don't feel pregnant anymore I'm now 9 weeks pregnant and the only symptoms I have id the fresheners and fag smoke still makes me feel sick but apart from that I have nothing?

Has anyone else experienced anything similar as I'm panicking about the lack of symptoms im having?

I completely feel like im not winning here and my mind is just getting the best of me, I know every pregnancy is different and its probably normal to not have any main symptoms but i can't help but worry about it all. I know these symptoms I do have or probably normal too but Is it weird that I just want the nauseous feeling to come back! I literally have sore boobs, and the smell of fabreze and fags make me feel sick and thats mainly it. 😔 I can't help but feel so sad about it. I just want to feel pregnant again. I keep finding myself taking more and more pregnancy test to see of there is still two lines! Someone please help me calm my nerves!

Probably been said by now but it sounds very normal, it's something to do with the placenta kicking in at that point.

Unless you're me and you feel sick forever, until the docs prescribe some Omeprosole, only thing that took it all away for me.

strawberrymilkshakeisdelicious · 25/06/2021 21:18

Just seen your update. My reply seems insensitive now as you're asking for your sickness to return! Sorry!

To clarify my sickness was not pregnancy related as such. It was because the Relaxin hormone ramped up the acid reflux so much, I just had heartburn on steroids both pregnancies and couldn't eat a thing without throwing up pure acid. All day. It was grim. So had to have the medication to calm it down. Eventually it stopped around 18 weeks and I didn't need the tablets so much.

Kszw · 25/06/2021 21:31

@strawberrymilkshakeisdelicious it doesn't sound insensitive at all don't worry. I'm sorry your going though bad sickness. I've never experienced it to say my self I felt nauseous at 6 weeks and then everything seems to dissappear accept the symtoms I stated in my last update and I just can't but worry about it :(

How many of you mammas had no symptoms after 7 weeks? I need some more reassurance.

@Kszw I was very lucky and had no symptoms apart from fish making me feel sick! I went from loving it to not being able to walk down the fish part in ASDA. Like you, I was panicking something had gone wrong but everything was fine.

Congratulations and enjoy! Smile

We had a weird start to my pregnancy. started our third round of IVF (my DH has v low sperm count from childhood cancer) intended to finally have a transfer (we froze the embroyos from the first two rounds for a second child) but i was really unresponsive so cancelled after a few days. I had had a really weirdly light period but put it down to having had so much treatment.

Had a week away and felt really nauseous and tired but put it down to the heat etc. Got home and still felt sick so took a test and low and behold i was pregnant. Assumed i had got pregnant after the failed cycle as it was 4 weeks since then. Rung the clinic and tested my hcg - 29k. Turned out I was probably about 6 weeks and my v light period was actually implantation bleeding.

A week later had a scan put me at 7+4...with twins! bit of a shock there.

I am now 8w4 and having on and off nausea and fatigue. seems very random and some days i am fine and other days feel sick all day!

Gone off red meat too (usually my fave) which is irriating.

And cramps. next scan is on the 9th at 10w1 to have the harmony test and 12 week booked for the 27th!

FeckingPuddleDuck · 28/06/2021 13:58

I went through this on and off all the way through with DS. Would feel pregnant for a week, sickness, sore boobs, fatigue the lot and the suddenly I'd feel completely normal and panic!

I think this is normal, it all ended well for me anyway but I remember the worry.

Kszw · 28/06/2021 15:06

Thanks for the replies its just weird for me because mine aren't on and off the nauseous feeling disappeared at 7 weeks and hasn't gone back and the only thing I experience now is sore boobs, mainly at night! I can't help but worry over the lack of symptoms

Kszw it’s a known thing that women with PCOS tend to have fewer pregnancy symptoms so
I wouldn’t overly worry
DC1 - mild nausea and exhaustion for about 12 weeks and she had a life limiting genetic condition which usually causes an increase in pregnancy symptoms
DC2- my symptomless pregnancy
DC3- no classic early pregnancy symptoms but after 8 weeks everything else kicked off and it was the worst pregnancy of all

Maybe book a scan. A heartbeat at 8+ weeks suggests a very very low risk of miscarriage.

Kszw · 28/06/2021 18:51

@Hoowhoowho thanks for replying your words has given me a little hope. I Did have a early scan on the 8th of june when I was only 6 weeks and there was a heartbeat. I've got my second scan on the 5th of July so fingers crossed all is well.

The only thing I had was that I couldn’t drink tea for the first 12 weeks which is very unlike me

Kszw · 28/06/2021 22:14

@Hesma I was the same up until end of nine weeks I turn 10 weeks tomorrow and I finally had my first cup of tea yesterday without feeling sick haha :)

Please don't worry! Symptoms or lack of them are not a sign of how your pregnancy is progressing!

I had absolutely no early symptoms at all when I was pregnant (twice). Nothing changed for me until later (second trimester migraines yay), so don't think that no nausea means things aren't going as they should. Hope the days pass quickly until your next scan Flowers

Kszw · 28/06/2021 23:00

@AlmostAlwyn thank you 💟

Theres no need to stress. Head over to the pregnancy forum and you'll see some variation of this thread posted almost every single day.

I had 2 days of symptoms (nausea and vomiting) around 7 weeks and then nothing until 18 weeks when I started getting a bump and feeling the baby move. Every pregnancy is different and you'll just be stressing yourself out if you're obsessing over your symptoms.

Wow that's exactly the same as me. No symptoms apart from second trimester migraines..someone told me it can be the extra volume of blood and the capillaries can't keep up for a while.
Op there is sometimes no rhyme or reason each woman and pregnancy can greatly vary with symptoms and can be completely normal. I know it's hard not to stress and it's the waiting for reassurance that's hard. Maybe find some relaxing techniques when you feel really anxious it may at least ease for anxiety for a while and help you stay positive.
Kszw · 29/06/2021 19:14

@moomala thank you I tend to get a warm bath when I'm stressing or spend quality time with my partner but I still sometimes catch my mind drifting off elsewhere like myou said its the waiting game its absolutely torture. I only have 6 more days to go until my scan it already feels like I've waited 6 months haha :)

Did anyone suffer with severe itchy nipples i could rip mine off today :(

MrsMonkeyBear · 01/07/2021 14:40

Other than insanely sore boobs, tiredness and a touch of nausea, I didnt feel pregnant at all until I was about 24 weeks with both of mine. Then the heartburn and pgp kicked in.

The only smell that got to me was truffle oil (I'm not posh, just a chef.)

Kszw · 04/07/2021 14:37

Scan day tomorrow and super super nervous 🙈🙈
