I'll start Smile

I have my first hair cut in 2 years today!

I finally managed to cut the grass for the first time in weeks as we had a bit of sun yesterday

After a year of eating nothing but homemade meals, me and my dp are going out for a meal on Saturday to celebrate our anniversary

I got my first covid jab this week

I went with my son to collect his GCSE certificates, then we went to the pub for lunch. Last time we were there was after his year 11 parents evening, a week before schools closed

My 9 week old son, who is finally here after surgery, chemical pregnancies and IVF, is smiling and cooing and being lovely.

My gym finally reopened on Monday 🏋️‍♀️ and then my friend sent out invitations for her pool party next weekend Grin

Got my second jab on Tuesday, felt fine until last night 🤮💩🤒

My DLP holidy in June was cancelled but I have just managed to book Centre Parcs for the week instead. So happy to finally have a holiday that I feel close to 100% wont be cancelled!

My greyhound, who has been hobbling with arthritis for the last few months, is finally getting balanced on his pain/inflammatory meds, and we had our first proper walk in a very long time last night :)

Going to a football match after 14 months of supporters not being allowed.
We scored an amazing goal, only got a draw but the atmosphere was wonderful and the whole thing really lifted my spirits.

My granddaughter is 16 today and it's my birthday too . I had a trip to the garden centre and bought two roses and a peony . My daughter bought me a rose called Wonderful Mother . We are going out this evening to celebrate both birthdays 🎂Smile

My DD passed her medical today to join the RAF, Covid has made the process spectacularly long but now she only has the fitness test left to pass!

Congrats on all new babies! They are always the most lovely news.

I had my second jab today.

And then went to a nearby shopping centre and had a lovely potter about, lunch out on my own and bought some books in Waterstones.

We had dinner at my our neighbours last night and met new people! (Only moved here in November so haven’t had chance to meet many people.)

And I’m getting my hair done tomorrow! After 8 months. It’s never been so long or so grey.

And British Heart Foundation are doing a pick up tomorrow of some furniture and other bits that have been cluttering the house since we moved in. I can finally get the hallway sorted.

I did a massive food order and have lots of yummy food in the house.

We had a takeaway on Saturday which was delicious.

I got my first covid jab this week also

DS is incredibly happy at school and has a best friend who is like a brother....having struggled with secondary infertility for years and the guilt of not being able to give him a sibling, seeing him so happy means so so much to me

My OH has been working so hard, doing 2 jobs. I only work part time, but we've barely seen each other. We're like ships in the night !
Tomorrow we are both free and we are going for lunch. I am so excited.
This is a lovely thread ; so great to hear people happy.

I found a badger having a nap on my compost heap.
He is probably done in from digging a great big hole in the middle of my lawn that we awoke to yesterday morning ! i forgive him though , live and let live .
