I've had no problems with my recent deliveries or products. I ordered shelving and a wardrobe a short while ago and received them within a week.

Just had a delivery today. Absolutely fine.

The trust pilot reviews are really bad but I want the kallax and I can’t find an alternative that looks as good anywhere else!

My experience was a good one too. Placed order, got email, delivery was a bit long - ordered Jan, delivery date March. Could have been a stock problem?

I had a txt the day before delivery with a time and it arrived as they said it would. All for £15.

Their order system is mad. They kept letting me order a desk, saying it was in stock etc, charging me, then I just got a text on the day it was due to be delivered saying it was cancelled. I had to use resolver to get my money back. It's weird it's like an online order is simply a wing and a prayer that no one goes to the store and buys your chosen item before your delivery date.

Oh and their delivery times are terrible, months and months.

Ordered something on Sunday evening and it has just arrived.

Worth being aware lots of their "online" is simply you requesting it be delivered from your nearest store, it's not centralised, so varies a lot depending on your local store.

We've had two deliveries from them recently. Fantastic service everytime. Happy, friendly, helpful drivers, all items received and not damaged.

Had a great experience with two IKEA deliveries recently. Was a bit worried when my initial delivery slot was 7am to 7pm but had a call the day before the order was due with a one hour slot. Also had a call from the driver to say exactly when he’d be arriving and he also quite happily carried the boxes upstairs to my first floor flat for me.

There is one thing about reviews. People with just standard "yeh, it's ok" experience rarely write them. Similarly people who were super happy.
It's good to see what the common complaint is in bad ones, but it's important to remember that majority of customers never write any

That’s true people rarely leave reviews when they are happy with the item. I’m know I’m guilty of that! Going to go ahead and order then thanks

Deliveries in the past have been fine.

I want to order something online at the moment but the next delivery slot available is in July! We’re only 40 minutes away from the store but I can’t face going.

I’ve just checked and the next delivery for me is a month! That is really long not sure I can wait that long 😕 my local store is 4 miles away but I don’t drive!

It may also be worth looking on Facebook Market place, people in my area seem to be always selling on Kallax units so you might be lucky and get one locally.

No problems here. Ordered a sofa bed, it arrived 4 days later as scheduled.

I've had an order in since March for some light fittings. £15 delivery fee and the timescales are ridiculous. My first delivery date came snd went apparently due to a processing error. Now booked in for next week. We will see what happens but I don't think I will order from them again.

My local IKEA has a taxi delivery service. So you go in and buy what you need and then come back in a taxi. Once, we bought more than expected and got a taxi to bring the extra stuff that wouldn't fit in our car back. Driver even unloaded it.

My experience is that it's worth checking back regularly for slots and availability of stock. I wanted to buy some patio furniture and it was saying out of stock and next delivery date two months away anyway. I checked back every day and a week later it was back in stock and next delivery date was only a few days later. Good luck!

The delivery is fine. The cost is NOT. £40 for a £150 order. Absolute joke!

My only negative is how painful it is to order!
Things only show as "out of stock" at the end, not when you add them to your basket, so it's infuriating.

Too many items are out of stock for delivery, but fully stocked in store.

Apart from that, as long as you are happy to be stuck home for 12 hours (between 7 and 7 I believe), it's fine.

Report

rirette · 18/05/2021 14:13

Yes the cost is a bit eyebrow raising. £25 I think, for £200 patio furniture (light ones) and wooden tiles.

I haven't had any issues previously with IKEA deliveries but in lockdown couldn't get one without paying the earth. Got an alternative for Kallax from Argos which did the job so might be worth a look, searched for cubed storage or something like that.
