My youngest is 13yo. Even my ears pricked up when I heard the list of venues opened up -- because soft play was on the list. Nothing else interested me, but SP was Lifesaver when mine were little.

I can't wait. He's 3 so will go off and play for a while alone while I can have tea in comparative peace!

I'm so envious. I hope you have a lovely time.

All of the ones near us have closed their door for good. Sad I suspect there will be lots of people in similar situations with no soft play centres left near them and no liklihood of anyone opening up a new one any time soon.

So please make the most of it if you have one that's managed to survive nearby.

Oh I know. I’ve felt in such a rut the last few weeks.
Easter hols were fine because weather was ok at least every other day but now it’s like every freedom we were given back over the last 1-1.5 months had been taken again because of the damn weather!
Thank God for soft play eh.

Can’t think of anything worse but I remember the days they were a lifesaver so good for you! Enjoy Grin

The two we like are part of the Better gyms. Absolutely fantastic places - maybe you have one near?

I drive about 30 to one particular one. Worth it imo

Yes me too! My youngest hasn't ever been because of lockdown and he will love it! I will be booking place!

I’m booked into one this morning with a friend. This one is huge so my 2.5 year old will need me to go on (I’m even looking forward to that!). I’m booked into smaller one a week on Wednesday that he can do all by himself. I’m going to have a nice sit and conversation with a friend.

Alas but no. We've genuinely lost all of ours. 12 soft play centres in all. Sad

No idea when they’ll reopen up here.

Soft play is definitely on the list in the coming weeks. This week we have booked to go to a small world centre (think Biggleton) & next week we're booked into the trampoline centre near us. Can't wait - my 3yo needs this sort of thing!

Sadly my 2 are too old now. The 6 year thinks it's babyish. The 10 year old has ASD and still loves it, but is physically too big Sad.

SP was both hell and a lifesaver. Have a wonderful time.

There's an outdoor park on the same route as soft play and he always asks for soft play, today I can say YES

Soft play is the work of the devil!

Have you been trying to entertain a 2 to 3 year old during a rainy pandemic?

We are going to try to go tomorrow- I'm desperate! However its first come first served with no booking in advance so I'm trying to decide how early to turn up. Toddlers aren't great at queuing for a lifetime but then again I want to make sure we get in!

Bad form they're not allowing you to book. As you say it's hell queuing with a young child... hope you're not going to have to queue in the rain?!

That sounds like a positively bonkers policy. No wonder you're frustrated!

I know, I couldn't agree more! They've had tons of interest on Facebook and I'm sure tomorrow will be crazy so hopefully they'll think to have something else in place soon.
