We're going today and another on Wednesday. Cannot wait. Perfect weather

Christ no. I hated them anyway but the thought of sitting in a loud echoey smelly warehouse with the additional annoyance of a mask makes me want to stick needles in my eyes. Soft play is finished for me.

I was going to, but my son is only 18 mo the old and the pricing structure at my local soft play is 50p for 0-11 months, £8.50 for 1-12 years (for a two hour off-peak session). I’m not paying that!

Yes so excited. I've never been before as DD is my first baby so looking forward to trying it with her. Have two sessions booked already with different friends, really looking forward to it.

Idontgiveagriffindamn · 17/05/2021 13:45

My son had a brilliant time this morning at the huge soft play. The weather meant we couldn’t use the outside part but he wasn’t bothered.
I need a nap now after crawling around for 2 hours 🤣

MindatWork · 17/05/2021 13:46

Yes! I was there at 10am this morning with DD2.5, she was so excited bless her (as was I 🥰). Our local one is doing 2 hour slots with a full clean in between, staff going round doing spot cleans and v limited numbers. We had the best time and DD has already asked when we can do back.

@AngeloMysterioso did that include you as well? That’s what we paid and I don’t think it’s that bad, especially as they’re having to restrict numbers and spend more time cleaning etc. It’s pretty standard for the price to jump up after they turn 1, otherwise where do you draw the line?

Pre covid I disliked them although DD loved them and now I just can’t wait! To actually have somewhere to go when the weather is rubbish will be amazing!

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 17/05/2021 13:49

New one 9pens today near me. It looks awesome. But at £8 per child plus £1 for adults, plus coffee... Will give it a miss.

Yes! I'm in Blackpool and thankfully there's lots of soft play and almost all are reopening.

I have a 3 year old too and can't believe I once took soft play for granted!

We are booked into one for Wednesday afternoon.

majesticallyawkward · 17/05/2021 13:54

I can't wait! Booked Friday after school, 5yo has been asking for a while and is so excited! It'll be the first visit with 1yo when he's confidently walking and climbing, we went in October when he had just started walking but he's so confident now I'm sure he'll love it! I'm really looking forward to seeing him get in there- and reduced numbers means he can have a good go without being knocked over by packs of kids 😁

I don't even care it's hot and noisy, it's clean- so, so clean and been revamped during lockdown- the cafe has been upgraded and kids get a free meal.

Soft play is my go-to for rainy days when I just need them good and tired!

DifferentHair · 17/05/2021 14:11

I couldn't stand soft play because I thought it was a bacteria pit. I'm hoping things post COVID will be more hygienic and less crowded all around.

AHobbyaweek · 17/05/2021 16:59

Yep booked Sunday! First I could get of either after school or weekend as it booked up fast

Darbs76 · 17/05/2021 17:18

I’m sure it’s great for parents of toddlers, I’m relieved I’m well beyond that stage now

APurpleSquirrel · 17/05/2021 21:06

I've just booked one for Saturday - can't wait - DC will love it!
