To be so fucking mad at myself

Failed my first driving test.Drove near perfect then fucked it up on the parallel fucking park.Walked in and dh had bought me 3 bottles of pink Moet as he was so confident that I would pass.
41 years old so not a spring chicken.Aarrrrgh.Just wanted to pass for 6 weeks holidays so can take ds out and about.

You’ll do it next time I failed first attempt, it’s bloody annoying but it’s probably nerves . Drink 1 bottle of moet and save the rest and next time you’ll do it .

It is so frustrating. It is the only test in the world where they are looking for things you do wrong. When you start with a perfect score and then lose points and then can't get the points back.

I've called the examiner all the names under the sun since I've got home! Calmed down a lot now.Nearest test dates are September,I'll keep checking for cancellations.

How did you mess your parallel park up? I totally fucked mine up and ended up on an angle, but I passed because apparently I did each step as I should have. I was convinced I had failed. I got two minors in the end both of them being not checking my mirrors when I left the actual test center 😂 on your next test you'll nail it!!! X

I failed my last test literally meters away from reaching the test centre, I was so so so cross with myself. There are apps you can buy that constantly check for cancellations, I've just booked my next test a week on Thursday. Shitting it tho Sad

Parallel Parking is such a stupid thing to fail someone on. It's not like it's an essential for driving and the driving I see on the roads, definitely not the thing they need to focus on

Have you signed up for the ap that tells you when there is a cancellation op? Deffo worth it, DSS was months off, got a cancellation and then got a closer cancellation off the app,

How did you fail it meters before getting back?

It astounds me that many MNers fail their tests over minor things when you see people driving that appear not to have had a single lesson in their lives. They can't ALL be international exchange licenses?!

Parallel Parking is such a stupid thing to fail someone on. It's not like it's an essential for driving and the driving I see on the roads, definitely not the thing they need to focus on

Its not so much about the parking ability its about being able to control the car at slow speed. You need to demonstrate you can manoeuvre the car safely and under control

I failed my first in the first 2 minutes. Was parked in front of a van so couldn't see. Inched out to a point I could see what was coming, someone stopped to let me out and examiner decided I had gone too far out (my instructor disagreed). instant fail. You will do it next time op

@AlmostSummer21 I was so busy deciding whether to overtake a bus or just coast behind it right up to test centre that I pulled into a yellow grid with no clear exit which was instant fail. The rest of my test had been perfect Sad

Hardly anyone does it first time. Don’t beat yourself up - waste of time, just get back on it.

I had one minor fault on my first test.....and one major 😩. Didn’t come to a complete stop at a stop sign - there were parked cars and I had to inch out. Apparently I should have stopped completely first and THEN inched out.

I failed twice! Reversing around a corner got me on the first one, and driving onto a roundabout without looking got me on the second one (I was nervous!)

You'll get it next time! In a year you'll be whizzing around all over the place (safely). You can do it! Flowers

They do. I was far more nervous the second time and had the test centre's head examiner, who was lovely.

At least you got in the car. My sister once forgot her driving licence for her test. They failed her before she even got the chance to drive!
