Or not?

What a stupid question, colleges are for all ages.

chipsandgin · 13/05/2021 19:50

Nope.

Echobelly · 13/05/2021 19:50

Nope, all sorts of reasons people would be at college at any age.

OwlBeThere · 13/05/2021 19:51

Not at all. I went back to college when I was 29

GrumpyHoonMain · 13/05/2021 19:52

A 21/22 year old - no, not unusual. Plenty of people need to resit GCSEs and then if you need to sit A Levels too you could easily get to 21.

LynetteScavo · 13/05/2021 19:58

Not

hullaballoo19 · 13/05/2021 20:04

Not at all, I went to college at 26 and uni at 27

Standrewsschool · 13/05/2021 20:09

What are your concerns? Do you know someone this age contemplating going back to college, or do you think they have a nefarious reason for going back?

4PawsGood · 13/05/2021 20:11

No. I’d presume they’d worked for a bit and then decided to get some more qualifications.

SandersD · 13/05/2021 20:11

No. I’m 29, work full time and attend college part time.

rainbowruthie · 13/05/2021 20:13

Not at all, in fact I would be thinking good for them

SaskiaRembrandt · 13/05/2021 20:15

No, I'd assume they'd decided to retrain, not unusual at all.

My employer pays for staff to study for professional qualifications, that includes people of all ages. No one finds this odd, it's a perfectly normal thing to do.

equuscaballus · 13/05/2021 20:27

No. I went i my 30s and there were enough people my age for me to not feel out of place. Why on earth should education be restricted to a certain age group?

FlorrieLindley · 13/05/2021 20:28

I went to university full-time when I was 33.

NatashaAlianovaRomanova · 13/05/2021 20:32

DD is 21 & in full time education at college & still has another year to go - she has men & women of all ages on her course.

I went to uni when I was 35 & I wasn't even the oldest on my course.

21/22 isn't a strange age to be at college at all.

Goldielockdown2 · 13/05/2021 20:36

Not in the slightest!

NotAnotherPushyMum · 13/05/2021 20:39

Not at all unusual.

BackforGood · 13/05/2021 20:41

No

Why do you ask ?

Also what are you asking if you are being unreasonable about ?

gabsdot45 · 13/05/2021 20:41

No, My degree took 4 years so I graduated at age 22.

ViciousJackdaw · 13/05/2021 20:44

Certainly not. What on earth is unusual about training and/or education?

SchrodingersImmigrant · 13/05/2021 20:44

I am really just tagging along for the fun of tiny dripfeeds

BashfulClam · 13/05/2021 20:44

I went when I was 21 I had done an NC at 18 but dropped off the HND course for various personal reasons . Went back 2 years later🤷🏻‍♀️

Michelle Fowler on Eastenders went to uni for 76 years!

Neonprint · 13/05/2021 20:48

Not at all. I've met people doing education and trading at all ages.

borntobequiet · 13/05/2021 20:48

In the last few years I’ve taught ages 16-61 in FE, the majority in their 20s and 30s.

DanielRicciardosSmile · 13/05/2021 20:50

No. My mum went to college to do an Access course (don't think they exist any more, but a way of getting nature students into Higher Education) at 37. She graduated from uni at 41.
