Parking

I have a ground floor flat with 2 allocated parking spaces. They are right outside the entrance to my flat/living room window. None of the bays are either marked with lines or have numbers. It really pisses me off when other people park there even though I usually only need 1 space. I feel like it’s the principle, because I pay for a larger 2 bed flat with 2 spaces - why should someone else get to use them? I have no problem if a neighbour asks or lets me know beforehand btw. It just really winds me up!!!!!

This would annoy me too, especially if you had visitors and they had nowhere to park!
We had this at our old property and we continued raising it as an issue until the management company eventually arranged for numbers to be painted. It took persistence and a change in management companies but got there in the end.
Definitely start with a Private Parking sign as PP suggested with your flat number on it.

Can you rent the space put to them for a weekly fee?

Tessabelle74 · 03/05/2021 22:53

If they're not marked who's to say those spaces are even yours anyway? Maybe yours are the opposite side of the car park?

lightningpeach · 03/05/2021 23:34

@Tessabelle74 They are her spaces, OP said the spaces are marked in the deeds to the property

voovayclickwot · 03/05/2021 23:35

Could go park over both spaces?

Tessabelle74 · 03/05/2021 23:36

@lightningpeach the neighbours don't know that though. I'd be putting a sign on them personally

@MarjorieBouvier

Then get a cone or bollard. People aren't telepathic. They won't know it's yours.
