To love working?

Anyone else? Looking for my tribe? I love my job, love being busy, the pressure but then the success. Solving problems, working on great projects etc etc. Do you love your job and enjoy going to work? I am genuinely excited by my job every day!! I'm on my lunch break right now and just thought I'd ask this off the back of the "AIBU- to hate working!" Thread!

Yes I love my job.

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 16/04/2021 13:06

Yes I do, I have a schizophrenia type mental illness and work is the one thing I can focus on that makes my life bearable and I am good at it.
It is my focus so I make it a number one priority.
I get pretty pissed off with the moaners at work, it's a great job and if they don't like it why don't they just do us all a favour and bugger off.

Tish008 · 16/04/2021 13:07

Totally agree, there are days I feel overwhelmed but generally I love managing my own workload and working on projects and fixing issues. Can be so satisfying to finish a piece of work

GoWalkabout · 16/04/2021 13:07

Love my job currently. Interesting, meaningful, manageable, creative and autonomous.

Mundayblues · 16/04/2021 13:09

I love my job (most the time). Don’t get me wrong, I love a day off too but I love that I don’t dread going to work and don’t count down until I head home - not a nice way to live!

PumpkinPie2016 · 16/04/2021 13:09

I love my job. There are times when it is stressful and pressured but I do love driving change forward and seeing success.

I couldn't imagine doing anything else!

amusedbush · 16/04/2021 13:10

I'm 30 and up until now, I've always either hated my job or felt ambivalent towards it. I worked to make money.

Now I absolutely love what I do and hope to build a long career out of it.

wigglerose · 16/04/2021 13:11

I love my job. I dislike how my manager managed me, but I love my job.

SpnBaby1967 · 16/04/2021 13:13

I love my job, I love my company and I have an amazing manager. But that doesnt mean I dont find it stressful and want to scream sometimes.

I work for a HA dealing with antisocial behaviour, domestic violence, child abuse etc and it's so stressful and we are chronically understaffed.

Cindy87 · 16/04/2021 13:15

Yes, me too. I really struggled when on Mat leave. I love my job but mostly I love the balance it brings to my life, my family, my relationship.

KeyboardWorriers · 16/04/2021 13:18

Yes! It challenges me intellectually, I feel like I am contributing to society, and I have lots of flexibility and autonomy.

evilharpy · 16/04/2021 13:21

No. I like my workmates but just tolerate the job itself. I don't dread it but I certainly don't love it.

Rainallnight · 16/04/2021 13:21

Ooh can some of you who love your jobs say what you do? I’m looking for inspiration.

IncorrigibleTitmouse · 16/04/2021 13:43

I love mine too! I’d hate to not work. My job challenges me creatively and intellectually and I genuinely do learn something new every day. I’m a marketing strategist.

bootlebum · 16/04/2021 13:45

Absolutely love my job. I don't tell people as it seems tactless and unhelpful as it's so rare. But yes! I love solving problems, I love my colleagues, I believe in what I do and I'm well paid and it's flexible. I prefer it to home life tbh.

IEat · 16/04/2021 13:45

I do. But I hate that some staff get away with murder but others don’t.

someonelockthefridgealready · 16/04/2021 13:49

I am struggling with my current team, but I absolutely loved my job for the first ten years. Hopefully we'll have a new boss by the time we actually go back to the office and things will improve, although I'm keeping a weather eye out for other jobs too. I still absolutely love the work itself.

MrsKeats · 16/04/2021 13:49

Is this on the back of the 'I hate working thread'? That one baffled me.
Yes I really like my job. I like being busy and it can be intellectually challenging. I also I feel I am making a difference.

Icantchangemyusername · 16/04/2021 13:50

I like where I work and my colleagues are great but if I had the choice I wouldn't work. Obviously I'd have to fill my time some how so wouldn't want to just sit around the house all day (although it would be nice for a bit) and would find something else to occupy me but that would be my choice.

Northernsoullover · 16/04/2021 13:50

I like mine too.

MarshaBradyo · 16/04/2021 13:52

I love doing creative work. Nearly back to it, school holidays cut in, but I love being left alone to do work.

MarshaBradyo · 16/04/2021 13:53

I’ve also had another slightly less creative more strategic job which I partly like - mostly due to the creative element.

Skyliner001 · 16/04/2021 13:53

I do, I do something which I really enjoy, is created, I'm paid more than I have I could've hoped for, I'm using my degree, and I get to work with extremely interesting people. I genuinely couldn't be happier in my work

bonfireheart · 16/04/2021 13:55

I really like my job, always think younger me would be so proud! And having had a few bad jobs with nightmare bosses/colleagues makes me appreciate my current job even more. Can't see myself ever leaving the organisation, there's still plenty of opportunities for sideways and upwards moves.

malificent7 · 16/04/2021 13:57

You lot are so lucky!
