Mine just need constant hoiking up, so bloody annoying.

I think it's because they're tight on the legs so they get pulled down? My mum jeans don't fall down at all.

Maybe it's the Lycra content?

A belt!

Other looser styles are worse. I miss skinnies.

Sciurus83 · 11/04/2021 09:16

Very high waisted or belt loops

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 11/04/2021 09:20

I've never worn them, they wouldn't be skinny any more once I put them on that's for sure.

OscarWildesCat · 11/04/2021 09:38

Depends on the jeans, I have skinnies from new look that spend half their time being pulled up and other from River Island and Tesco which sit fine. Trial and error.

Beautiful3 · 11/04/2021 09:39

Yes I have this exact problem. Thought it was just me having an abnormal shaped body, or something?!

Weenurse · 11/04/2021 09:39

I read that Mum jeans are now in, so put your skinny jeans away for a few years. 😁

CallforHecate · 11/04/2021 09:40

Buy the high waisted ones.

PoTheDog · 11/04/2021 09:40

Belt!

Higher lycra content often stretches over time, hence hoiking. Your mom jeans are probably less stretchy material?

kowari · 11/04/2021 09:40

I find I need them to come up high enough for the waistband to sit above my hip bones at the front.

dementedpixie · 11/04/2021 09:41

I wear a belt
Mine are mid rise rather than high rise

dementedpixie · 11/04/2021 09:41

What are mom jeans?

SeriouslyAreYouSerious · 11/04/2021 09:42

Levi's mile high stay up for me

TweeterandtheMonkeyman · 11/04/2021 09:43

High waisted - I like the M&S ones best

lljkk · 11/04/2021 09:46

Belt or actually cut for people with waists (hips bigger than the waist)
Skinny fit on legs is irrelevant. It's lack of waist grip problem you have.

KingdomScrolls · 11/04/2021 09:49

With my arse

rhowton · 11/04/2021 10:09

My massive arse and hips does the trick 😂

fairburn · 11/04/2021 10:13

@CallforHecate

Buy the high waisted ones.
I do I do!

I think my mum jeans are zero Lycra, and looser on the thighs, knees

I find belts really uncomfortable and they still need pulling up a bit.

Maybe I'm the wrong shape for skinnies

OP posts:
dementedpixie · 11/04/2021 10:18

Are you wearing low, mid or high rise?
I wear mid rise and don't have issues with a belt

dementedpixie · 11/04/2021 10:19

I like my mid rise skinny jeans from Next and they even have usable pockets!

Andbearsohmy · 11/04/2021 10:25

I had the same problem but some posters on here recommended River Island Molly jeans and they are a godsend! Stay right where they need too.

Throughabushbackwards · 11/04/2021 10:29

I wear a narrow, soft leather belt with the buckle moved across to the side (beyond the first front loop) so it doesn't feel so uncomfortable when sitting.

lockdownalli · 11/04/2021 10:41

Are you pear shaped OP?

My (adult) DD is and she couldn't wear skinnies - obviously she wouldn't be seen dead in them now as they ARE FOR OLD PEOPLE!! (like us)

I am an apple so my huge mum tum keeps them up. Having said that, I am so so happy that Bootcut jeans are back in, I have put away the skinnies and am embracing the high waisted bootcut love.

Happy Days Smile

I'm an out of shape hourglass apparently. That's according to my measurements. But honestly my hips are quite narrow.

I don't really know what shape I am!

I find Joni jeans better than Jamie jeans but they still need so much attention!

Maybe I'm just over them, embracing my mum jeans now
