Mine just need constant hoiking up, so bloody annoying.

I think it's because they're tight on the legs so they get pulled down? My mum jeans don't fall down at all.

Maybe it's the Lycra content?

My skinnies never ride down! Never have! Maybe I just have a big arse Confused

Cocomarine · 11/04/2021 17:04

@SelkieBeag

A belt!

Other looser styles are worse. I miss skinnies.

You can still buy skinny jeans everywhere- so if you miss them, buy them!
Eyevorbig0ne · 11/04/2021 17:06

My fat belly shelf works wonders at keeping my jeans up.

fairburn · 11/04/2021 17:28

Just checked an my mum jeans are 100% cotton, so no Lycra. I think that keeps them up for some reason!

Mine never fall down and I usually just wear cheap Penneys ones and have silm hips! Do you need a smaller size maybe?

shivawn · 11/04/2021 18:23

Oops Primark ones I should have said for UK audience!

fishonabicycle · 11/04/2021 18:24

I have one pair of skinnies that fall down. So irritating.

Ednadidit · 11/04/2021 18:25

ASOS hourglass are a godsend. They’re almost always on sale if you also need them to be petite.

Notavegan · 11/04/2021 18:27

My large butt keeps them up, but otherwise high waisted. Tu are good

Maybe, but I cannot bear muffin tops so I have to accommodate a properly fitting middle!

Belt is the only way!

LittleGwyneth · 11/04/2021 19:24

2% elastane!

Emmelina · 12/04/2021 00:50

I have a stretchy belt without a buckle for my skinnies. The ends fold back on themselves and fasten with poppers.

I don't like the look of mum jeans, it's going to be a tough transition (akin to when skinny jeans came in Grin).

Im going to be brave I'll have you know. Stotic you might even say. I'll need to try mum jeans on so need shops and changing rooms open before I can start my "jounery". I might blog about it.

Mind you, by the time shops open here (I'm not in the UK) skinnies could well have come back into fashion...

fairburn · 12/04/2021 11:55

I ordered 9 pairs, all different brands, all mum jeans, off the internet.

Found one I liked so ordered another pair in a different colour

with a belt.

CirclesWithinCircles · 12/04/2021 12:21

Regular hoiking! But they're so comfortable, its worth it.

Am I the only person who hates high-waisted trousers though? I have a very short waist and they virtually touch my boobs and feel like a corset! Low waisted work for me.

BigWoollyJumpers · 12/04/2021 12:21

Belts are great - until they wear holes in the front of your favourite jumpers Sad.

JovialNickname · 12/04/2021 12:39

You need a Tights Up belt! (A thin black stretchy belt that can be worn under things without showing, it also holds up tights and leggings). I have the same problem thanks to a bottom half that looks like a orange balanced on two cocktail sticks, and this belt definitely works best.

Another vote for the Tights Up belt. It’s absolutely brilliant. Keeps my jeans up and also works so well over leggings. I have a huge bum and a small waist so everything gapes then the jeans/leggings roll down. This belt is a game changer for me
