Same marigolds for bathroom and rest of house?

Trying to work out if I'm being OTT or if my friend is just a bit gross.

I religiously wear different pairs of marigolds for doing the dishes, cleaning the bathroom and doing other stuff around the house, to the point where I even have different colour gloves for each task. I also find the idea of reusing the same gloves for the bathroom a bit grim, so will only use disposables for the loo or anything else like that.

One of my friends thinks this is OTT and, while she doesn't wear gloves for the dishes, wears the same pair for (e.g.) cleaning her bathroom and other chores within the house (e.g. cleaning windows, laundry etc).

Who is being weird?

YABU = Fine to use same pair for different stuff
YANBU = No, that's gross!

I suggest anyone who washes chicken should read this link to the NHS: www.nhs.uk/live-well/eat-well/never-wash-raw-chicken/

When I read this type of question I always wonder how we coped in ye olden days! And I really dispare for the planet because of all the disposable products.. I know a person who buys eco this, eco that, won't use tumble dryer, organic food. But uses disposable gloves...for every little house hold chore, changing between each chore.. As I said I dispare..
Well in the really olden days lots of people died of cholera and typhoid fever 🥵 I too wear different gloves for bathroom and kitchen although hand washing would probably be enough!

At the risk of attracting the ire of the environmentalists here, I’m sure the plastic that goes into a year’s supply of disposable gloves is way less than even one children’s toy (which gets played with once and discarded).

Disposable gloves are just so hygienic and easy. Even before the pandemic, I always get a pair in my handbag, in the car etc, for anything icky. So have been so many incidents where DC have had an accident or been sick and they’ve been an absolute godsend.
