**@LunaNorth* @Itsanothernamechange* may have to get the 2 slice one. At least it's not me losing my mind, they're so known for not fitting they've made a toaster specifically for it!!
And even the toaster designed to fit the bread doesn't fit
.
Not tall enough to toast all the bread, but the bread is too tall to go in sideways. Plus it's crap and toasts unevenly on one side.
We had one but got rid of it not so long ago as one of the elements failed, which was a blessed relief TBH.
We now have a Dualit, which isn't really much better. We got it on a deal in Costco with a free kettle, more or less. I think I would have returned it, if it wasn't for the fact that I was so bored of trying to find the holy grail of a basic kitchen appliance capable of performing it's one single job to a reasonable standard.
I think the long slot ones are better - we have one at work and I think you can get 4 slices of Warburtons in, in landscape format, but the long thin shape of the toaster doesn't work that well in our kitchen unfortunately.
I don't understand it. We can send people into space and to the bottom of the ocean, but designing a toaster for probably the biggest selling type of bread in the country and toasting it all over to the same shade on both sides is unachievable.
