To ask which toaster you have?

My son will only eat Warburton's toastie bread, but despite the name the bread does not fit in the toaster. It appears to be really tall bread in comparison to normal bread. Anyone have a toaster that fits Warburton's bread? Needs to be a 4 slice one. Please. I'm begging you.

We use the grill. You can fit any size under there.

Or have you tried putting it in your toaster sideways?

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 15/03/2021 16:24

I have a cream coloured one with a love heart on it that I got from asda. That fits Warburtons because its all my kids eat.

Glitteryone · 15/03/2021 16:27

Smeg.

I love it, it makes the nicest toast. However I’m not sure if it will fit Warburtons, as that’s not a brand of bread that is available here in Northern Ireland.
I use Brennans bread which is bigger than the standard square slice and it fits with no problem (4 slices).

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 15/03/2021 16:29

Well I know because it's all my kids eat, they didn't specifically make it for my kids 🤣

FTM91 · 15/03/2021 16:35

Dualit Vario - it's expensive but beautiful and built to last. Nice thick slots but can't vouch for your particular bread of choice!

notdaddycool · 15/03/2021 16:36

I got a two-slice from AO.com - I think when I was looking a fair few said that they fitted Warburton so maybe read the descriptions, it will be in at least some of them.

Esssa · 15/03/2021 16:36

Dualit. Still have to put Warburton's in the toaster sideways though.

Chanjer · 15/03/2021 16:38

The toastie one is square I think so you can't lie it down

I take it out and turn it over half way through

I have a dualit toaster btw and it definitely doesn't fit

elsaesmeralda · 15/03/2021 16:43

Dualit, but if the bread is too big I just turn it round half way through

LittleGwyneth · 15/03/2021 17:11

Dulait four slice, utterly shit. Do not recommend.

Jumpers268 · 15/03/2021 17:36

Thank you all!! It won't fit sideways. It honestly does my head in.

@Iminaglasscaseofemotion I will go Asda tomorrow! When did you buy it before I get too excited? Hahaha. Also pleased my child isn't the only strange one when it comes to bread....

I did look at Dualit but reviews are really mixed and I'm still not sure it's tall enough for the bread.

Our toaster is designed to fit Warburton’s Toastie bread! Hang on, I’ll find you a link...

What about this one?

sanitygirl · 15/03/2021 17:40

Following with interest as my toaster isn't deep enough for square sliced bread!

LunaNorth · 15/03/2021 17:42

here

LunaNorth · 15/03/2021 17:43

Ah, 4 slice unavailable. The 2 slice is on Amazon though.

Itsanothernamechange · 15/03/2021 17:43

Mines a breville VTT570. It fits warburtons in perfectly.

@LunaNorth @Itsanothernamechange may have to get the 2 slice one. At least it's not me losing my mind, they're so known for not fitting they've made a toaster specifically for it!!

OP posts:
nokidshere · 15/03/2021 18:16

I have the 2 slice that LunaNorth linked to. It fits warburtons perfectly and I often put 2 slices in each slot so that I have 4 ready at the same time.

Lincslady53 · 15/03/2021 18:31

We bought the Breville Warburtons toaster in April 2020. It paced up last month, so returned to Currys for a refund. Replaced with a £20 long slot from Aldi. So far the Aldi one is working well. It takes a full slice and toasts fairly evenly, so are pleased with it so far.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 15/03/2021 21:09

Sorry OP it was a few years ago now. But they might have something similar. Was definitely just their own brand.

KingdomScrolls · 16/03/2021 07:45

We have a swan long slot toaster, Warburton's fits sideways and it's also good for pita or naan and other unusually shaped breads

EggysMom · 16/03/2021 07:56

Asda George (Long slice) fits Warbies.

(From someone who shopped around with a cardboard replica of a Warbies slice)

And even the toaster designed to fit the bread doesn't fit Hmm Angry.

Not tall enough to toast all the bread, but the bread is too tall to go in sideways. Plus it's crap and toasts unevenly on one side.

We had one but got rid of it not so long ago as one of the elements failed, which was a blessed relief TBH.

We now have a Dualit, which isn't really much better. We got it on a deal in Costco with a free kettle, more or less. I think I would have returned it, if it wasn't for the fact that I was so bored of trying to find the holy grail of a basic kitchen appliance capable of performing it's one single job to a reasonable standard.

I think the long slot ones are better - we have one at work and I think you can get 4 slices of Warburtons in, in landscape format, but the long thin shape of the toaster doesn't work that well in our kitchen unfortunately.

I don't understand it. We can send people into space and to the bottom of the ocean, but designing a toaster for probably the biggest selling type of bread in the country and toasting it all over to the same shade on both sides is unachievable.

LunaNorth · 16/03/2021 09:39

Ours works perfectly.
