AIBU to ask for some help planning this?

I've been on mumsnet almost forever, and it's my go-to place for wisdom, help and advice. I don't really have a long time alive, as my cancer treatment has stopped working, so I'm hoping that some of you can help me plan a trip to Anglesey, so that I've seen somewhere that isn't these four walls during my Liverpool Lockdown!

I don't want to go much further afield, as I would feel better being easily accessible to medical care if necessary. The plan is to hire a car with my husband, who'll drive, and stay a night or two in B&Bs, taking in some coastal views and sunsets.

I'd love to trawl antique shops.
I'd like to take the dog, if possible, though this isn't really essential.
Outdoors is good, but I'll have to use a wheelchair for more than short distances.
I like the idea of "hidden gems" in terms of places to visit (who doesn't?) but comfort is good too.
I'll wait for the weather to warm up a bit, so in a few weeks is fine (I hope!).

I don't want to annoy anybody, but I'd like to use this thread for a bit of support and encouragement, and keep bumping it for more ideas and suggestions.so I can make this trip as special as possible. As Anglesey isn't all that far from where I live, I could split the trip into a few parts.

So, can you help? AIBU?

Once, years ago and under another name, I asked for TV recommendations as I was going to be having a big operation with a lengthy recovery time.

BOF sent me the DVDs she recommended on the thread. Unutterable kindness and I'm not sure I ever let her know properly how much it meant.

ImAncient · 12/05/2021 18:59

I have a holiday home in benllech. I’m a lurker, very rarely post but this has made me so sad. Rest in peace and when I’m in Anglesey at the weekend I will raise a glass for you and wish upon a star that you are. I am going to take my son to Beaumaris on Saturday and when we are there I will think of you and your family. Xxx

@CaptainNancy MaryAnnSingleton passed away about 4 years ago now. She was such a lovely person. Our boys are the same age and we hit a few milestones together through MN and on fb.

I feel so sad 😢. I had the pleasure of meeting up with BoF a few times. She was one beautiful, gorgeous, intellectual woman and I shall miss her ❤️

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/05/2021 19:49

So sad to hear this. Bee was supportive and kind to me during my brief time on the cancer thread, and even PM'd me to check I was OK, despite the fact that her situation was way more dire than mine. Rest in peace, lovely.

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 12/05/2021 20:11

Such sad news. BoF was lovely. My parents were from Beaumaris on Anglesey and I was coming on to recommend it. Sad

Having recognised BoF on here over 12 years and been a member of Lost in a Good Book for years I never realised Bee and BoF were the same person!

Thank you for the most excellent book group that has given me many many good reads. Thank you for your humour.

RIP warm, funny, kind Bee x 🐝

Sorry to read this.

Not sure I ever met her, only because I can't remember any of the names of any MN'ers I met. But I know she was a good sort.
