To say sod it and start on the Baileys

Fed up.

It's cold and rainy, I'm fed up of staying positive for months and months.

I have really tried. I've been exercising every day, getting outside, keeping busy with some online learning as well as working part-time. I've tried to keep eating healthily, cook from scratch, keep up with housework etc but have just had enough.

I feel moany and whiny so have poured myself a large Baileys.

Go for it x

Somanysplitends · 17/02/2021 17:45

Don't blame you op, I feel the same. I've got a takeaway ordered and a bottle of wine in the fridge!

Somanysplitends · 17/02/2021 17:46

And I've been the same as you, trying not to drink and to eat well but today just feels very 'fuck it!'

Thislittlefinger123 · 17/02/2021 17:48

Totally normal reaction to these circumstances. Let yourself have a wallow (and a could of baileys) then try and make tomorrow a better day x

PyjamaFan · 17/02/2021 17:48

Today shall henceforth be 'fuck it day'.

It’s ten years today since my Dad died, I’m on the wine tonight too.

HeartZone · 17/02/2021 17:50

Cheers 🍷

I’m currently having a Wednesday cocktail and I’m going to eat loaded fries for dinner. I’m not down, I’m celebrating. The weather is getting warmer the schools are opening and I will be sitting in a beer garden by the summer!
Very soon we’ll all be saying ‘do your remember that year we all locked down, that was awful’.

Tlollj · 17/02/2021 17:55

I don’t blame you having a fuck it day, but I can’t even look at Baileys since I had a very unfortunate incident in the Blackwall Tunnel.

Createsuser · 17/02/2021 18:02

Definitely a good idea but which flavour. I can’t live vicariously through you without all the info.

ProperVexed · 17/02/2021 18:03

I started on the red wine at 1640. I'll be going to hell!

BigSandyBalls2015 · 17/02/2021 18:04

@Tlollj tell us more Grin

PyjamaFan · 17/02/2021 18:33

@Createsuser

I have the original Baileys. I've tried the other flavours and like the chocolate one and the red velvet one. The pumpkin spice and almond ones were Envy.

Bit late starting on the Baileys.
I have a large one at 7am when I finish my night shift.

Oblomov21 · 17/02/2021 18:34

Oh I love a large baileys.

ssd · 17/02/2021 18:34

I finished my baileys at the weekend

PyjamaFan · 17/02/2021 18:35

Yes @Tlollj I want to know too!

Bananalanacake · 17/02/2021 18:36

Have you tried the strawberry and cream one.

HugeAckmansWife · 17/02/2021 18:38

I had two g&ts at 5 yesterday then had a headache by 7 so I'm valiantly resisting tonight until a bit later. But none of this weekend only drinking bollocks.. That ship sailed long ago.

Oblomov21 · 17/02/2021 18:44

I've joined you OP. Prompted by you, I've poured myself one.

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 17/02/2021 18:46

Thanks for reminding me I put a bottle of bailys in the back of the cupboard, maybe it's time to crack it open.

BigSandyBalls2015 · 17/02/2021 18:48

At Christmas DD introduced me to a wonderful cocktail .... baileys, vanilla vodka and coffee ice cubes. It was lush 😋

PyjamaFan · 17/02/2021 18:49

@Oblomov21

Cheers!

I'm pleased to have been a bad influence Grin
