AIBU to ask where your buy your underwear?

I just want to buy some sensible, comfy everyday pants. No impressing of anyone required. Just comfort. Ideally without a ridiculous VPL because even though there is a 2m rule and in theory, no one should be close enough to notice, I don't want to feel even more self-conscious going for a run than I already do.

M&S used to be my go-to for sensible knickers, but I've given up on them. The sensible-looking ones manage to be simultaneously baggy and dig in. I'm not even sure how that's possible.

Recommendations for online shopping, please? I'm not trying to impress anyone, so I feel like some new underwear with decent elastic shouldn't bankrupt me. Ideally something with enough fabric so a sanitary towel has something to stick to.

(I don't want to have special period pants, I just want some good quality everyday pants! Maybe I'm asking too much...?)

Matalan? I like big granny knickers and their plain black ones are good!, period or no period, and you can fit a kotex maxi pad in which is 👌

Sainsbury’s and Tesco are both good for packs of plain black apple catchers. Wouldn’t wear anything these days.

These are brilliant to wear under leggings OP. Really comfy and no VPL. I wouldn’t think they would be much good for wearing a towel though. I haven’t periods for years, since I had a hysterectomy. Maybe you’ll just have to wear ordinary, cheap knickers for period times?

I agree about M&S. I’ve given up on them too 😒

Next or M&S - mostly because they are comfortable and do a good online delivery service.

I used to wear only M and S but my latest batch are ridiculously oversized. Though it was just me! I need enough fabric for a pad too - so a wideish gusset- not those horrible thongs.

Matalan, Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury are all good for the regular everyday type ones. 🙂 You can also get different patterns and colours sold occasionally in packs or sometimes individually as part of the three for two offer.

I was going to say Primark but they're not online as you can't go wrong with them and their variety!

The plain black ones in the multipacks from Tesco and Asda helped control things after birth so they're perfect for pads fitting for periods also!

All also have plenty of different colours and designs as well as the plain ones and also different fits. Asda ones are great and so comfy but I tend to get the three for two ones from there. Their bras are also really good there too.

Next do good ones, also but much better to get in there when they're having a sale as so cheap then!

Sainsburys every time. They fit and wash well and the high waisted ones I buy don't roll down.

Tesco do the ones you want. Seamless, plain and comfy.

I buy pretty stuff from Boux avenue or agent provocateur but plain stuff in Tesco.

Another one for Oddballs, I have them on subscription and get 2 new pairs and matching socks every month. And sometimes I flex my subscription for pants for DH or their bralettes that are great for sleeping in when it's hot.

Morrison's, believe it or not, do some beautiful plain pants which wash wonderfully and fit so well/extremely comfy with no vpl 😁.

I think you’d have to order them separately from the TU website.
