www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-9227847/Felicity-Kendal-74-shows-incredibly-youthful-visage-Graham-Norton.html

I thought this was a photograph distorted deliberately when I first saw it? How can surgeons live with themselves having done this to to gullible individuals? Not so long ago, this actress looked amazing. She looks like she is sticking the tip of her tongue out but it seems to be a bit of her lip.

Excuse the random question mark in the first sentence.

I actually met her over 30 years ago, I worked for an estate agency and it was my job to drive her around looking at properties. She was SO nice and she was absolutely beautiful. I am horrified to see the photos of her today. Sad

Bluntness100 · 05/02/2021 18:24

I don’t think it’s fair to blame surgeons.

She’s been having work for years. I know because my husband saw her in a plastic surgery hospital very private waiting area when he was there for work. (Work as in his job)

I suspect something went wrong with her lip, or her top lip disappeared with age and she wanted it put back, there’s a story there becayse something has clearly went wrong,

And quite frankly it can go wrong on your first surgery at half her age.

Meowchickameowmeow · 05/02/2021 18:25

Youthful visage? What utter bollocks, she's completely destroyed her face and looks anything but youthful.

AdaFuckingShelby · 05/02/2021 18:25

OMG, when are women going to stop feeling like they've got to butcher their faces?

iklboo · 05/02/2021 18:26

Oh my goodness her mouth!

tigger001 · 05/02/2021 18:28

She is so beautiful, why she feels she needs to chase her "youth" in this way, i genuinely dont understand.

I do believe her face, her choice live and let live, but it does make me feel sad seeing it going so wrong.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 05/02/2021 18:33

What a shame Sad She always looked great; she didn’t need this.

I do think celebrities get addicted to surgery/treatments. Look at Sharon Osbourne. Back in the MTV days, you could see she’d had work done, but it looked good. It was like she couldn’t stop when the first lot went well. Now she looks like Ursula from The Little Mermaid.

Serin · 05/02/2021 18:36

It is so sad and affects speech as well.
Whenever I hear Elton John and Paul Macartney speak now, they both sound very different from how refused to and cant form some sounds properly.

StoneofDestiny · 05/02/2021 18:51

Pitiful that some women just want to butcher their faces. I saw Carole Vorderman on TV a couple of days ago and she looked like someone else entirely - nothing like her original self. Tragic.
Michelle Keegan has now gone the same way - why?
They were naturally attractive before, now they will have to keep the surgery 'updated'.

HollowTalk · 05/02/2021 18:56

That's typical Daily Mail speak for "We're going to show you an awful photo but pretend it's great so she doesn't complain."

Same when they show an unflattering photo of someone who's overweight and they say she (it's always a woman) is slim.

Twospaniels · 05/02/2021 18:57

OMG she looks awful, her top lip, her face is lop sided. I’m shocked actually.

We’ve been watching The Good Life on Gold this week, she was such a pretty young woman.

Very sad that people feel the need to do this

badacorn · 05/02/2021 18:58

Come on. The effect on her lip is off but she looks fine. She would have looked fine without all the work too of course.

The DM sets people up like this, even children sometimes. They get a particularly unflattering photo they know will make people laugh and they do an "innocent" headline and article. They know what they're doing.

cardibach · 05/02/2021 19:01

They do, badacorn - bit that isn’t what this is. It’s not one unflattering shot, she’s had some bad work. It’s sad.

Piffle11 · 05/02/2021 19:04

Whatever anyone wants do to do to their face, someone will do it. I get Botox and I’ve had filler: I’m in my 50s and I always say I’m not looking to be 35 again - I just want to look good. I’ve heard from friends about aesthetic practitioners trying to persuade someone to have a little more. I’ve thought that FK has overdone it for a while (but if she’s happy, then great). You get the Botox/filler, but of course the results aren’t as good as you age ... so the impulse is to get more. Mind you, I do take issue with the Daily Mail and their usual stirring ... ‘remarkably youthful’ ..: showing off her curves (when someone is clearly overweight) - drawing attention to the issue and inviting the negativity that they clearly love.

MadameButterface · 05/02/2021 19:05

Yep, and then someone on here will walk right into the sucker punch, dutifully post the link, and the pearl clutching about how women ‘should’ do or not do xyz will start. If women’s appearances weren’t such public property in the first place, then maybe there wouldn’t be such pressure to seek surgical intervention. Maybe just let people do what they want with their own faces and stop playing the game where the patriarchy pits us all against one another?
littlepattilou · 05/02/2021 19:09

Yeah the surgeons should be ashamed of themselves really.

And contrary to the wording in the article, she does NOT look far younger than her 74 years. She looks like a woman in her 70s who has had too much plastic surgery. And the mouth/lips look sooooooo odd.

WHY do people do this to themselves?!

badacorn · 05/02/2021 19:13

@cardibach I honestly don't think she looks bad. The effect on her lip looks off but there is nothing shocking here.

norwegianwoodpecker · 05/02/2021 19:16

She's still pretty but she looks odd

And she still looks her age too.

Topseyt · 05/02/2021 19:17

She looks utterly dreadful.

SlopesOff · 05/02/2021 19:18

While she's never had a face-lift, the actress has previously admitting to having fillers around her mouth

If you believe that you will believe anything. I seem to recall reading about her having a facelift a few years ago, and she had the wind tunnel effect that only comes from one of those lower facelifts that are not done with consideration for the age of the rest of the person.

PickAChew · 05/02/2021 19:21

She is about the same age as my mum and does not look younger than her.

VestaTilley · 05/02/2021 19:23

It’s sad. She looks awful. I hate that so many women sadly feel the need to do this, and I hate that we live in a world that makes them feel that way. I don’t even wear makeup anymore.

Georgyporky · 05/02/2021 19:34

I discussed options with my beautician - who's also a brutally honest friend.
Firstly, why? Trying to impress a new potential lover?
No point in doing it as hands & neck are always a giveaway.

And how about removing sagging, crinkly skin from arms. legs, belly etc

dancemom · 05/02/2021 19:40

I supper any woman who wants to use Botox and fillers etc and also have surgery, however just own it!

Carol Vorderman swears up and down she is all natural including her clearly enhanced body, it's just ridiculous
