www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-9227847/Felicity-Kendal-74-shows-incredibly-youthful-visage-Graham-Norton.html

I thought this was a photograph distorted deliberately when I first saw it? How can surgeons live with themselves having done this to to gullible individuals? Not so long ago, this actress looked amazing. She looks like she is sticking the tip of her tongue out but it seems to be a bit of her lip.

OP posts:
huuuuunnnndderrricks · 05/02/2021 19:47

If it wasn't for her top lip I think she looks ok if a little too much valet make up .. I wonder what they did to make it like that ! Weird

Riapia · 05/02/2021 19:55

The sad thing is that it’s not just older women.
Young women in their teens and twenties are now having liposuction to remove fat from one part of their body and pumped into their buttocks.
Apparently the “big bum” look is desirable.

InFiveMins · 05/02/2021 19:57

I think she looks fine. She's 74 and looks her age.

DimidDavilby · 05/02/2021 19:59

And yet here you all are happily criticising her face? It must be horrendous aging in the public eye. I think an adult discussion about surgery can be had without all this bitchy nonsense.

visitorfromtheplanetzog · 05/02/2021 20:00

Thank goodness for that. There was me thinking my fat arse was unattractive.

pigsDOfly · 05/02/2021 20:04

She has beautiful, well styled dyed hair and a good figure, both of which help her to appear youthful.

She was a very beautiful woman and had she left her face alone would probably have aged looking wonderfully elegant and still beautiful; as it is her face looks ravaged and she definitely doesn't look youthful for her age.

Why do women do this to themselves, or allow someone to do it to them?

Youth goes, nothing wrong with that.

Take care of your health, as she has clearly done, and if you have good genes, you can go on living a happy vibrant life into old age and still be beautiful. It's just a different kind of beauty.

1Morewineplease · 05/02/2021 20:12

I find it so sad that ( predominately) women feel the need to have their faces carved up to try and retain their youth. The surgeries/procedures that they endure always catch up with them, so that they're usually left looking almost frightful.

SunsetSenora · 05/02/2021 20:28

The whole shape of her face is off - she looks like she had filler in her cheeks. It is grotesque, but then again, I am sure they also picked the worse picture of her.

FlyingFaster · 05/02/2021 20:36

I don't think it's fair to blame surgeons. The people who have it done are (I assume) competent adults able to make and live with their own choices. It's her face.
that said, I think it looks dreadful, but again, not my choice to make.

Dogonahottinroof · 05/02/2021 20:43

She doesnt look awful, she looks like a woman in her 70s

The Daily Mail is using most usual dont sue me strategy of saying someone looks great when the look not so great.

It is an awful approach as what they mean is we are humiliating this woman come and join in- which is what you are all doing.

So bully for you- you have been sucked in by the Daily Mail to abuse another woman for her looks.

Do you feel good? Superior?

SignsofSpring · 05/02/2021 20:50

Luckily for Felicity, she seems like a lovely person and so the fact she hasn't had the best work in the world will not make much difference to her. I met her once, she was incredibly kind and lovely and that's what I see when I look at her face (and the DM's clickbait 'innocence').

addicted2spaniels · 05/02/2021 21:02

My Mum is a similar age, and for reasons best known to herself, started going to a "beautician" a few years ago for some treatments. She now has these unbelievable tattooed slug eyebrows, complete with feather effect. They're not even the right colour for her face let alone her hair. I nearly cried in horror when I saw her for the first time.

But you know what, she feels amazing because of it. And if FK likes her face, who are we to judge?

YukoandHiro · 05/02/2021 21:03

She looks so much older as a result. Awful.

Dogonahottinroof · 05/02/2021 21:13

And you are lined up for Miss World?

You are 74 and look like you are 17?

Or you are just goaded by the Daily Mail to be unpleasant about another woman?

I guess the last statement

YukoandHiro · 05/02/2021 21:21

@Dogonahottinroof Jesus no I look like utter shit, especially right now (postnatal, lockdown, haven't had a hair cut for a year). I just loathe plastic surgery for non medical reasons. To have a body that is functioning is a huge privilege. I don't understand why anyone would tinker with it at all.

YukoandHiro · 05/02/2021 21:23

Also find it very depressing when women buy into an industry that is designed to make them feel shit - and also perpetuates the idea that visuals are their primary value

newyearnewname123 · 05/02/2021 21:31

The sad thing is that she would look fantastic if she had just aged naturally. Most older women look perfectly fine.

Men do it as well, ruin their faces for reasons I don't understand.

BeautifulStar · 05/02/2021 21:31

This is why I don’t think il ever have plastic surgery/Botox. If women as rich as FK and much bigger stars than her can ruin their looks with the best Harley street can offer what hope is there for normal folk who can only go for a less expensive option? I just wouldn’t take the risk with my face.

TillyTopper · 05/02/2021 21:50

Oh gosh! I feel really sorry for her. That is a weird look.

WaltzesWithSnobs · 05/02/2021 22:34

That article is taking the absolute piss out of her.

The OP is prolific on MN and her posts always have a supercilious, pompous tone. I do find it rather amusing that such a raging snob reads the Daily Heil Grin not so classy after all eh Wink
