Following on from my thread about panini press/toastie machines please can you tell me your combinations? Veggie ones even better but I'll adjust things to make them veggie. We don't do eggs generally but you never know with the dc 🤷🏼‍♀️

Cheese and baked beans!

FlatteredRhubardFool · 13/01/2021 16:35

I'm thinking of mozzarella and marinara sauce so it's like a pizza.

Dd loves Nutella and I'm wondering how I can make that less unhealthy.

Goats cheese, roasted red pepper and fig chutney.

MustardMitt · 13/01/2021 16:44

We do mozzarella, tomato purée and some oregano for pizza ones.

Mozzarella and pesto with fresh tomatoes is lovely.

Do you eat fish? Tuna and cheese with diced red onion is lush, my friend adds diced pickles too if you like those.

Husband is loving cheese with dog chutney and jalapeño jam but I concede that might be an acquired taste!

Brie and tomato and chilli chutney is lush also.

junecat · 13/01/2021 16:44

Halloumi and pesto
Cheese & Pickle
Hummus & avocado
Any of the above with roast veg

I hate Nutella but my family like it with banana

Oh I saw this brilliant thing with wraps online OP and me and DH are obsessed!

Cut a quarter cut in a wrap, so it looks like a Pac-Man. Then put a different filling on each of the quarters - so cheese, peppers out of a jar, pesto, chilli sauce, ham, whatever you fancy. Then fold around and in on itself so you get one quarter sized wrap, then put that in the press. Wait and I'll see if I can find the video.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 13/01/2021 17:31

Brie & cranberry sauce in a panini, lush!

grey12 · 13/01/2021 17:39

The best trick with toasties is to butter the outside of the bread Wink

ButtWormHole · 13/01/2021 17:40

‘Recipe’. Nah you mean ‘look in the fridge, see what needs using up and turn into a panini’

FlatteredRhubardFool · 13/01/2021 19:15

The above with Turkey or ham slices

Cheese and onion

Chocolate spread and marshmallow fluff

Honeyroar · 13/01/2021 19:21

I was just going to ask for a link to the other thread, so thanks!

I’ve used Mexican cheese this week in my toasties this week. Perfect for the weather!

UsernameSpoosername · 13/01/2021 19:27

I had one in a cafe the other day - Brie, Cranberry & Pesto, I thought it was a weird combo, but the only veggie choice so went with it... DELICIOUS!

Holyforkingshirtball · 13/01/2021 19:32

Roast beef with fried onion, a grating of cheddar and some Stilton crumbled in is amazing

Holyforkingshirtball · 13/01/2021 19:32

Oh and add a small amount of Mayo too
