Mayo mixed with grain mustard - AIBU

So I made DH beef sandwiches and out a mix of Mayo and grain mustard on them (3 parts Mayo to 1 part grain mustard)

He described them as food fo the devil and if he’d known I was going to poison him he’d have gone hungry

My mother didn’t fancy it but I implored her to try it - she did and agreed with him!

Am I weird? Are my tastebuds faulty?

It's a lovely mix with Ham or Egg.... I wouldn't put mayo with beef so much though. Maybe that was what he didn't like?!

I tried a sauce recipe with it in, was a bit dubious as not a fan of mustard. I also added a squeeze of lemon juice and really liked it.

Yes! Perfect example of where whole grain mustard is superior. Will add to my shopping list for next week. You’re doing well so far - keep the ideas coming, I need some inspiration to complete my list!

We love it on BLT's in this house but it has to be smoked bacon. It just adds a delicious sharpness

@TransplantedScouser - TBF, he’s kind of right. Try it again, but with English or Dijon mustard instead and I think he’ll change his mind (you can go mad with the Dijon, but don’t overdo the English mustard/mayo ratio!)
