Mayo mixed with grain mustard - AIBU

So I made DH beef sandwiches and out a mix of Mayo and grain mustard on them (3 parts Mayo to 1 part grain mustard)

He described them as food fo the devil and if he’d known I was going to poison him he’d have gone hungry

My mother didn’t fancy it but I implored her to try it - she did and agreed with him!

Am I weird? Are my tastebuds faulty?

Use Hellman's or other quality mayo.
The ratio is 4:1 not 3:1.
Good in potato salad, egg salad, and any meat sandwich - chicken, ham, roast beef.
You may need to replace your husband however.

Dijon with Mayo is lovely. Grain mustard with Mayo is wrong.

I wouldn’t use grainy mustard, but Dijon or English mustard with mayo is heavenly - yum, add in salt beef and sliced gherkins and you’ve got one of my favourite sandwiches. Or chicken, with strips of pre-cooked crispy bacon (M&S ones are good) with avocado - in a lightly toasted panini.

Yanbu - I often do this. A bit of mustard in tuna or egg mayo on a jacket is good too.

YABU if you don’t add a bit of marjoram into the mix. Otherwise, carry on.

I've just remembered reading on MN, mix mayo with mango chutney and mix in tinned tuna. It was ok but I'm not a tinned tuna lover and even that couldn't make me change my mind.

Add whole grain mustard to crème fraîche and it makes the most delicious sauce when added to chicken, steak or pork chops - add it to the meat frying pan just before you serve to heat it through...Tis lush!

I've not voted as I think it's a matter of personal taste. It depends what's in the sandwich, if it was purely beef then I'd just have mustard and the basic hot mustard.

I love mustard mayo. 100% of my children disagree with me though.

I made celeriac remoulade today with mayo, whole grain mustard and lemon juice. Absurdly tasty in a smoked ham sandwich. Yanbu.
