To have had gin

lilfoxfur · 30/12/2020 17:19

It's 5.17pm and I'm half cut!

In my defence, ds is with his dad and my dsc with their mum so I'm in charge of no one.

I'm in a tier 4 area and I have had enough! I'm miserable. Gin helps, send more

Don't worry, I'll be getting on it soon!

Rosiedo · 30/12/2020 17:33

HelenaJustina · 30/12/2020 17:34

I need gin tonight. Trying to plough through a bit more of the mammoth list I set myself today first... but the chinking ice cubes are calling me!

CanofCant · 30/12/2020 17:35

No, not at all. You've inspired me to pour one.

SauvignonBlanche · 30/12/2020 17:36

YANBU at all, I’m just about to have one too Gin

Chimeraforce · 30/12/2020 17:37

I've had gin every evening since Christmas eve. Also tier 4. Crack on!

Cleverpolly3 · 30/12/2020 17:43

This is nothing to feel guilty about
Enjoy

BroomHandledMouser · 30/12/2020 17:44

YANBU - In fact I’m having one now too!

Powerplant · 30/12/2020 18:10

I’m all out of gin but will be opening the Prosecco.

WouldstrokeTomHardy · 30/12/2020 18:15

I want a gin but I have a sleeping cat on my lap. And everyone else is too busy playing fortnite to get me one. ☹️

Thesagacontinues · 30/12/2020 18:18

I rarely drink but for the last few weeks I've had a glass of rose wine around this time every evening. One bottle would last me 4/5 days. I have now ran out of it so have none for this evening Sad

CoronaIsWatching · 30/12/2020 18:19

I wasn't going to drink tonight but realised it's the penultimate night before dry january!

nosswith · 30/12/2020 18:20

It depends not when you finish but when you start on the gin, in my opinion.

EggnogAndAMincepie · 30/12/2020 18:21

I had gin around 5am this morning. Not intentionally like. I got up to feed the Feline and in my half asleep state grabbed the half full glass on my bedside table and gulped it down. It wasn't until I got the Parma violet taste I realised what I'd done. Must've fallen asleep last night and not drank the glass of go and lemonade I took with me. Gin and flat lemonade is a bit rank though

You need to train the cat. I have three. One is on my lap most nights, one around my back like a stole the other squished up next to me or on my feet. They understand when I say “gin time”. They instantly leap off mummy’s lap and wander to the kitchen 😂

They’re all girls. Wonder if that’s why!

Suzi888 · 30/12/2020 18:21

Tier 4 Wine I had a shandy at 2pm! No booze from the 1st Jan!

lilfoxfur · 30/12/2020 18:21

I'm doing dry January too! Might as well make the most of the last 2 days 😂

Tier 4 primary school teacher here. Utterly pissed off with the situation. Gin is the answer

DreamingInColours · 30/12/2020 18:23

Mmmm G&T for me once the littlest one is asleep. Currently watching --even more Mister Tumble

Yellredder · 30/12/2020 18:23

On the gin here too, cheers!

SauvignonBlanche · 30/12/2020 18:28

Finished my gin, have moved onto the Sauvignon Blanc now - cheers!

BovrilonToast · 30/12/2020 18:29

I could train them, but I have trained DH to make g&t to my exacting standards. Thankfully they have all died in Fortnite now and I have gin and a cat.

WalkingOnStarshine · 30/12/2020 18:30

I think I've had gin or some other alcoholic beverage every day for the last few weeks. I was planning a dry January but that can fuck off now.
