It’s getting to that time of year again!
What’s your New Years resolution ( if you have one) and why?
Mines.

  1. learn to say no to things I don’t want to do. Because I need to learn to put myself first sometimes.
  2. I’m quitting drinking for 9 months as my best friend just found out she’s pregnant and I want to support her.
  3. To be more money savvy.

Mine is to not stay on here for long.

OneRingToRuleThemAll · 28/12/2020 18:15

Lose a stone in weight. Back on it intermittent fasting.

I've joined a no spend challenge group on Facebook and I'm really tempted to jump in with that one.

pepsicolagirl · 28/12/2020 18:16

I would like to be my own friend. Get into the habit of saving, lose a bit of weight, drink enough water, take time to read more. Just be nicer to myself really.

That's it. Not much is it.

I'm really not expecting to be able to do much in 2021 but I will be starting it with a new job (after 10yrs as a sahm) because that was my first step in my resolution, to get a job.

annie987 · 28/12/2020 18:19
  1. secure a promotion
  2. lose 3 stone
  3. finish paying the credit card off
Stepintochristmas2020 · 28/12/2020 18:20

Lose weight
Be more positive

MrsToothyBitch · 28/12/2020 18:23

Relax and be less twitchy and touchy
Do all the boring fixing the house jobs
Get in better shape

SunscreenCentral · 28/12/2020 18:37

I’m going to lose the 2 stone I’ve put on. I’ve never in my life been this heavy even when pg.

I think IF and a dry Jan are on the cards.
I treated myself at Christmas to an Apple Watch to help, and it is already.

ALSO
I want pretty feet for this summer so work starts on that soon also

thesnailandthewhale · 28/12/2020 19:19

Walk 2021 miles

thesnailandthewhale · 28/12/2020 21:01

and to stop killing threads on Mumsnet :)

redfernsydney · 28/12/2020 21:04

Read 40 novels
swim in the sea
lose one stone

iklboo · 28/12/2020 21:14

To give up snorting coke off sailor's willies. Grin

Seriously, lose weight & be more cat (learn to say no more often).

Nyctophyllia · 28/12/2020 21:36

To use wishing wells for good instead of evil

cardibach · 28/12/2020 21:37

To stop making pointless resolutions. This isn’t the time (particularly in the uncertain times at present) to commit to life changing anything. I’d say any time other than Jan 1st was better.

missyB1 · 28/12/2020 21:50

1.To swim 3 times a week - I’m only managing once a week at the moment.
2.To read more books.

  1. To learn to crochet or knit.
AndcalloffChristmas · 28/12/2020 21:53

Very shallow - lose weight!

I’m doing dry January and generally want to be fitter and in better shape.

muddledmidget · 28/12/2020 21:55

To exercise 3 times a week, every week, and achieve 70k steps each week.

Lose 3st

Finally finish the house, and paint the bloody woodwork

Sparklesocks · 28/12/2020 21:58

Buy a house.

We were due to this year but viewings stopped with lockdown, and then we really struggled to get a 90% mortgage despite having the deposit and a decent credit rating as many lenders weren’t offering them. Hoping to manage it next year!

1Morewineplease · 28/12/2020 21:58

To find our forever home.
To pluck up the courage to get my cataracts done.
To pluck up the courage to go to the dentist.

saffire · 28/12/2020 21:59

To live life to the fullest. After losing my mum this year, at a young age, there's so much she wanted to do. I'm going to do it.

vangoghing · 28/12/2020 21:59

@pepsicolagirl this is one of the loveliest resolutions I've ever seen, and one I'm going to fully take on board myself!

Otherwise I'm going to resolve to view myself as an overgrown toddler - if I need a snack, have a snack, if I need a nap, have a nap!

Stickybbqwings · 28/12/2020 22:26
  1. To get back to low carbing and lose a stone
  2. To save my goal amount each and every month and stop making excuses not to do it!
  3. To (hopefully) finally get to go on some of the holidays we had planned for this year
KeelyPie · 28/12/2020 22:42

Get out of debt and have a buffer amount in the bank
Loose weight and start some kind of exercise
Lots of self care

HeyMister · 28/12/2020 22:54
  1. Lots of self love/mindfulness.
  2. Stop buying takeaways & shit on amazon.
  3. Start my driving lessons (again!)
alibongo5 · 28/12/2020 22:58

To get dressed properly if anyone other than immediate family are in the house (when it's allowed again).

MinnieAnonyMouse · 28/12/2020 23:15

Continue losing weight. 2 st 9 down, I'm keeping it up.

Do some exercise 3 times per week. Couch to 5k or wii fit or an exercise class.

Give myself the credit I deserve
