I seemed to get it within 3 hours!

Sorry if I've offended anyone.

Is it the sprouts or stuffing-I’m in agony!

dudsville · 25/12/2020 21:59

We've had sprouts AND cauliflower. We've got a few strategically placed windows slightly open.

RosesAndHellebores · 25/12/2020 22:02

DH and DS are in separate rooms. It is ever thus. Christmas brings a rich and special fermentation fuelled by cruciferous vegetables, bread sauce, fatty stuffing and pigs, followed by a dried fruit pudding and cream. It combines to present a less than exquisite sulphurous cocktail. "Don't strike a light" has already been uttered.

PurpleDaisies · 25/12/2020 22:03

Sprouts, red cabbage, lentil nut roast...

It’s bad here. Send help!

Northernsoullover · 25/12/2020 22:04

Did you have stuffing? Its pretty windy here. Stuffing is a terrible culprit

Teapot55 · 25/12/2020 22:12

Northernsoullover sage and onion pork stuffing yes. Paxo usually gives me awful wind but we didn't have that. It must be the sprouts and red cabbage. Trouble is I love cold leftovers about this time so tonight is going to be toxic.

It's a constant problem for some of us

Awful! Been blaming it on the dog all afternoon and just went to do it again but realised she was outside...oops.

Plonque · 25/12/2020 22:18

No, it's the stuffing! I'm blown up like I'm six months pregnant Sad

itchyfinger · 25/12/2020 22:19

Nut roast, sprouts and cabbage here too. Plus a ton of prosecco and all the cheese. Me and DH sleeping in seperate rooms tonight Xmas Smile

minipie · 25/12/2020 22:19

Not today but we had jerusalem artichokes yesterday and I spent the evening doing cat and cow poses to try to release the trapped results!! Whilst also doing last minute wrapping.

DH took photos Hmm

Nonononon · 25/12/2020 22:19

Never trust a fart on Christmas day.

0blio · 25/12/2020 22:24

I had terrible trapped wind earlier and the sparkling wine with lunch didn't help. I didn't know Paxo was bad, I had that too, and sprouts, no wonder I was in agony!!

saffire · 25/12/2020 22:24

I've had to light candles all around my dad. Now I know why my mum never brought him sprouts! 🤢🤮
Tomorrow the lounge will stink of farts.

PolarnOPirate · 25/12/2020 22:26

YES Omg every time I have a roast since becoming vegetarian —so I think it must be the stuffing/nut roast for me as always had the sprouts before. Glad it’s not just me, I honestly started to think maybe I had some serious intestine illness.

PolarnOPirate · 25/12/2020 22:27

I literally would never have thought it could have been the stuffing. Bloody paxo!!!!

PickAChew · 25/12/2020 22:29

I had some of my comedy farts - all bark and no bite - about an hour after lunch but they were almost definitely the stuffing. Bread makes me windier than anything else, tbh. Apart from cheese but I rarely eat that because it does more than make me fart.

Gilead · 25/12/2020 22:30

It’s so bad here I’m not entirely sure what’s me and what’s the dog!

EggNogPegg · 25/12/2020 22:30

I had sprouts, cauliflower, stuffing AND nut roast. DH has already told me that I need to get it out of my system before bed.

purplecorkheart · 25/12/2020 22:31

I am blaming my on coke zero

XmasGridlock · 25/12/2020 22:34

I've had terribly smelly stuffing farts all afternoon. Happens every time I have stuffing. Starts about an hour afterward and lasts about two days. They are horrendous. DH is revolted. We usually wake up the following day to a bedroom that absolutely reeks and have to open the windows. I can't even describe how awful they are. :-)

FestiveFannyGallops · 25/12/2020 22:37

No sprouts here but broccoli, stuffing, parsnips, carrots, and mushy peas. Oh dear lord. Hurricane Fanny a-comin'! Batten down the hatches!

hotcrosswhat · 25/12/2020 22:45

A family member has had sprouts three days running and is having the same issue 😅 (it isn't me!!)

Jamiefraserskilt · 25/12/2020 22:47

Only have to start peeling them and himself starts. Couple that with cauliflower cheese and we are a nuclear zone.

Gobbeldegook · 25/12/2020 22:56

Dh arse has been leaking veg farts since he swallowed the fuckers 😂😂
