I seemed to get it within 3 hours!

Sorry if I've offended anyone.

Ha, no! I did some red cabbage and the kitchen smelt like cat was windy. I didn't bother to serve that up Grin

I find the combination of sprouts, cauliflower, and stuffing, followed by Stilton an hour or so later, has rendered my farts especially noxious.

Heaviestdirtyestsoul · 25/12/2020 23:26

Mine started around 5pm, stuffing, cauliflower, sprouts. You can taste them Xmas Envy (not envy)

BakedTattie · 25/12/2020 23:35

My husband is literally repulsed by me this evening. Works out great for me though as he’s sleeping in spare room so I’ve the super king bed to myself!!

emmathedilemma · 25/12/2020 23:35

I blame the stuffing!

PoppyOppy · 25/12/2020 23:36

Cauliflower, onion gravy, Swede, sage & onion stuffing... We had the impromptu farting contest with hidden rounds (noisy but dull, silent but deadly, noxious attack and immediate danger for human life) which appears to be carrying over to Boxing Day.

I have opened the bedroom window. Wide.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 25/12/2020 23:39

Yes, my Labrador. He does have the decency to look thoroughly embarrassed though. Grin

PreyingMantlepiece · 25/12/2020 23:42

Never occurred to me that stuffing causes this. All four of us have raised the roof with gas since dinner. Which is problematic because my partner doesn't fart often but when he does, he has made me throw up once (my fag reflex is the snowiest snowflake of a thing, very sensitive).

PurpleMustang · 25/12/2020 23:42

Paxo really, I didn't know. Have been really bad tonight and didn't know why. Not had sprouts etc. Bloody paxo. Am in agony. Hanging near the bathroom worried I am going to be sick or get diarrhoea. Came on here to take me mind off it and found this. Any suggestions for the pain?

Vivana · 25/12/2020 23:45

I done a few loud ones after the Christmas pudding and stomach still making noises Grin

babycorn · 25/12/2020 23:47

The dog ate some escapee sprouts. I say escapee... they have no place on a normal person's plate...
The absolute STENCH 🤮

GinAndTonicOnIt · 25/12/2020 23:48

can't.... stop.... FARTING

Vivana · 25/12/2020 23:56

And there she blows GrinGrin

Teapot55 · 26/12/2020 00:49

I'm glad I've enlightened some of you about Paxo! No solutions though I'm afraid. I've had my late-night pickings of gammon, stuffing, bread sauce and sprouts so here we go again!

rollinggreenhills · 26/12/2020 01:40

I don't think mine was the sprouts.

More likely the chestnut stuffing. Or possibly the sage, onion, pecan and apricot stuffing. Or both.

QueenPawPaws · 26/12/2020 01:43

Was reading this thread and my cat is sat on one of those cardboard scratch boxes. Usually his are few and far between and silent
Except it kind of echoed off the scratch box, he bricked himself, looked at his bum and now won't go near the scratch box GrinGrin

MustDust · 26/12/2020 01:48

DH and I have each accused the other of turning the bedroom into a toxic fug. It's horrific and definitely the paxo for me. DS is just as bad so his room is going to be a teenage delight in the morning.

vodkaredbullgirl · 26/12/2020 02:16

Yes and I'm working a night shift and trying to hold them in. I keep popping outside and let rip.

grassisjeweled · 26/12/2020 02:17

Had cauliflower and no movement at all.

Broccoli is a different story however. It's actually painful. And friggin reeks

Catflapkitkat · 26/12/2020 05:59

It's your own fault. If you are going to ingest the devil's evil green rocks then why be surprised when he messes with your rear end, making your sphincter sound like a barn door in a hurricane.

Hopeisnotastrategy · 26/12/2020 06:49

NEVER eat the stalks of cruciferous vegetables. Chew the remainder well before swallowing. Makes a huge difference.

nosswith · 26/12/2020 07:53

Just don't eat Brussels sprouts then. I only ever have one out of kindness to whoever cooked the lunch, and this year as on my own, none at all.

PrincessNutNutRoast · 26/12/2020 07:54

Weirdly, they haven't affected me this year.

likeamillpond · 26/12/2020 08:03

Christmas pudding and cream is the culprit.

mrshonda · 26/12/2020 08:24

Try peppermint tea to ease it - usually works for me. I spent last Christmas in bloody agony from the sprouts.
