To think it's virtually impossible to be pregnant..

After having a normal on time period?

Have 2 dcs and never had any kind of spotting or bleeding when pregnant with them.

Been feeling really nauseous for a couple of weeks and in conversation with DH this morning I told him its exactly like pregnancy nausea, always when I'm tired or hungry.

Obviously heading to the shops immediately to get a test, but wondering if I can be reassured on my walk to the shops. Absolutely shitting it. Have a 2 and 3 year old and used protection.

Some people do have period like bleeds during pregnancy. It's not uncommon to bleed in some way.

PrincessNutNut · 28/11/2020 12:59

It is unlikely, but it is possible. Hope you get the result you want.

40weekswithno2 · 28/11/2020 13:01

It's very unlikely given you haven't had unprotected sex and haven't missed a period. Not impossible, but very unlikely.

Tobebythesea · 28/11/2020 13:06

You could be but it’s unlikely.

Ismellphantoms · 28/11/2020 13:13

I don't know if others felt the same, but for me, pregnancy nausea was completely unique. I had a BFN test and basically got on with my life. A few weeks later I woke up feeling the distinct nausea and I knew straight away. Did another test that went positive immediately. I hope you get the result you want OP.

PrincessNutNut · 28/11/2020 13:18

Yes, pregnancy nausea for me was very distinctive, not like ordinary nausea.

HavelockVetinari · 28/11/2020 13:21

Very very unlikely but not impossible. POAS!

BrumBoo · 28/11/2020 13:30

It's unlikely, but best to put your mind at rest. I will say that I have nausea when my iron levels are low, the same sort of shaky-sicky feeling I have in early pregnancy.

DryRoastPeanut · 28/11/2020 13:32

If you’ve had any sort of sexual contact, you could be pregnant.

Sexnotgender · 28/11/2020 13:35

It’s a remote possibility but these things happen.

monstertrucksarebig · 28/11/2020 13:57

Thanks all. Leaving for the shops shortly!

I have had problems with iron deficiency so that could be linked.

Starting to freak myself out as it is exactly like pregnancy nausea and I've had that hungry feeling but only wanting bland foods. I've also been absolutely ravenous the past couple of weeks and having bedtime cereal because I was so hungry. (Which was also what I had with both dcs).

My sense of smell has been next level, a lot of which has been bothering me.

We also dtd around when I would ovulate.

Either way it's a bit worrying as it's so random.

Will report back once I've been and done the test.

Shitting shit on it.

Eeek, hope you get the result you want

EThreepwood · 28/11/2020 14:04

I had a BFN and "period" got my BFP after feeling really nauseous at 6 wks and thinking the same as you... I'm 30 weeks now.

FippertyGibbett · 28/11/2020 14:05

The sense of smell thing makes me think yes.

lovemylot1 · 28/11/2020 14:06

My third dc I had what seemed like a proper period then tested positive around 5 weeks. Had a hunch bc nausea and a near fainting spell

Thehop · 28/11/2020 14:08

I hope you find out quickly OP

Bobbiepin · 28/11/2020 14:13

Could you be unwell OP? Any bugs going round nursery?

Whattheactual20201 · 28/11/2020 14:19

Don’t want to worry you but yeh it is possible !
I found out just over 2 weeks ago I was pregnant at 30 weeks !!!!!!
Has periods the whole time.

Tana433 · 28/11/2020 14:48

@Whattheactual20201 This is what i have never got to grips with. Not disbelieving you at all because i know friends that also had periods through pregnancy but where is the blood from? The uterus, obviously but i mean i always thought that a period was the lining of the womb coming away each month when it wasnt needed to protect a growing feotus so why would the lining disintegrate if a baby was growing? Our bodies are wonderful things though, just puzzling!

Hope you get the result you want.

CarolVordermansBum · 28/11/2020 14:53

Have you done the test?

ChikiTIKI · 28/11/2020 15:03

What contraception were you using?

Hope you're alright!

lockeddownandcrazy · 28/11/2020 15:09

Definitely could be pregnant - do a test then you will know for sure and can act on certainties whichever way you want to.

Whattheactual20201 · 28/11/2020 15:15

@Tana433 I wish I could answer you 🤣🤣
I was just as confused and very shocked.
I never took a pregnant test because as far as I was aware I was having “ normal “ periods. I only took the tests because piles returned I only ever had them when I was pregnant and I was extremely bloated ( well obviously I know now not bloated ) 🤣
