To think it's virtually impossible to be pregnant..

After having a normal on time period?

Have 2 dcs and never had any kind of spotting or bleeding when pregnant with them.

Been feeling really nauseous for a couple of weeks and in conversation with DH this morning I told him its exactly like pregnancy nausea, always when I'm tired or hungry.

Obviously heading to the shops immediately to get a test, but wondering if I can be reassured on my walk to the shops. Absolutely shitting it. Have a 2 and 3 year old and used protection.

Wishing your test goes a way that you want.

joystir59 · 28/11/2020 15:16

Hope you get the result you want OP

Oysterbabe · 28/11/2020 15:16

Good luck!

IEat · 28/11/2020 15:17

If you've dtd or whichever method you use to get pregnant previously there's a chance you may be. Gosh the wait must be so frustrating. I hope you're OK, whichever the result

Norah8 · 28/11/2020 15:23

hope it all works out

Tangledtresses · 28/11/2020 15:30

There is a bug going around here with the same symptoms! Loads us thought we were up the duff.... but turns out it was a bug
Complete with metallic taste and back ache 😣

Lockheart · 28/11/2020 15:33

If you've been sexually active (protection or not) then there is always a chance you could fall pregnant.

I hope you get the result you want.

monstertrucksarebig · 28/11/2020 15:37

Thanks all. The result was negative.

It took so long to get to the shops as I was dealing with about 500 tantrums from both dcs on the way out of the door.... not the best timing when freaking out if you're pregnant again!!!

@Tangledtresses thanks for that info, that's helpful. Will see how I feel in a week or so and go to the docs if it doesn't go away.

DH started pacing about doing a Ross from friends about condoms. Grin

Ross from friends 😂 I'm picturing the scene

CloudyVanilla · 28/11/2020 15:45

Glad it turned out well for you OP :)

Havent RTFT so in case it hasn't been mentioned- I had breakthrough bleeding at the exact times my period would have been due at 4 and 8 weeks with both my second and third pregnancies.

My mum even went four months withour realising she was pregnant with her first as she had "periods" on time too.

So yes it can happen.

CloudyVanilla · 28/11/2020 15:47

And by I mean it can happen I mean you can get false reassurance from breakthrough bleeding making you think you may be having a light period.

Obviously you cannot have a true period and be pregnant.

HuntedForest · 28/11/2020 16:00

Don't want to worry you, but if it continues you should get checked out. I had textbook of symptoms (nausea, sense of smell etc) and it was an ovarian cyst that needed to be moved in the end.

HuntedForest · 28/11/2020 16:01

That should say "textbook pg symptoms"

Was it the same length and flow of a normal period?
Scotmum83 · 28/11/2020 16:30

I get the strong sense of smell and mild nausea during my fertile days. Could it be that? Not every month as my periods are erratic but it ties in to other ovulation symptoms.

BawJaws · 28/11/2020 16:50

I had this for over a week op as did my son ... it was exactly like morning sickness and even had me worried (long since sterilised)

MrsToothyBitch · 28/11/2020 18:18

@Tangledtresses you've just stopped me freaking out about having to POAS for my own sanity too. Hit by a steam roller perma tired and oddly emotional, weird appetite, back ache, yet just had a definite period. Hopefully it's just a bug!

britnay · 28/11/2020 19:00

Tests are most accurate if done first thing in the morning when the amount of hormone in the urine is most concentrated.

PurpleFlower1983 · 28/11/2020 19:02

With my first I had a 2 day bleed that came right on time for my ‘period’.

Sorry. Didn’t read the whole thread!

Hello everyone. Not sure if anyone can help me understand something with my body.

(4-5days before period which is Due 28th)
DECEMBER 20th (before faint +) I check my CM and it was a Glob of clear thick stretchy mucus, like I was ovulating🤔 but see I would’ve ovulated already around the 12th of Dec. thought nothing of it. So December 22nd my bf randomly told me to take a test. I laughed and threw the test box back at him. lol.. I then was like what the hey I’ll take it. After peeing on the stick I looked and saw a hard neg line so I got up washed my hands and looked at it again and there was a faint line. I gasped!! Sooo I took 2 more right after drinking water to make me have to pee again. Those came out faint positive. The next day (Dec 23rd) still faint lines. December 24th tried to get a blood year they said don’t waste my money just do a test. Ensured them I did, showered the nurse my test and she CONGRATULATED me on the faint line indicating I’m for sure preg. Dec 25th-28th I STOPPED getting the faint lines & completely negative. I’m very tuned in when it comes to my body, especially my lady parts. During all this I was checking my CM. NEVER EVER bled. Not once, not a lil, no clot, no pinkish/brownish spotting, NOTHING but clear & white. Breast are heavier, frequent urge to pee, tired.. that’s about it that’s Clear. I get a negative blood/urine test from Hospital. Even did a ultrasound yesterday (Dec 31st) It’s January 1st and still no period. Could it have been a chemical pregnancy with just no blood?

P.s no UTI , STD , KIDNEYS good , blood flow to ovaries are good etc.
