Honestly, if you're going to come up with a mean nickname for someone at least make it a good one. It sounds like something my young DS would come up with!

I think it’s a much nastier nickname than it sounds, it insinuates that Carrie acts ‘princessy’ ie entitled and spoilt and nuts meaning she’s unhinged, other men use crazy, paranoid or psycho for women too. I believe Eamon Holmes used to call Anthea Turner princess tippy toes or something equally vile.

The joke's on this country, that's for sure.

"Princess Nut Nuts" is really not a nickname. A nickname should give some indication of what the person is like / behaviour is. My favourite is 'Playground Princess Huffy Puffy Flouncy Flounce', invented by me for my eldest sister (then well past her teens and already a grandmother, who was behaving towards the family in a very, well, huffy puffy, flouncy flounce way. Her grown up children also got appropriate nicknames!

It made me laugh. It’s silly and catchy enough to stick. She will forever be known now as Princess Nut Nuts.

Well, I just tried to name change to it but someone's beaten me to it, so at least two of us like it.

I agree with @Saladfingersscaresme it’s horrible and not on the slightest bit funny.

It implies she’s entitled and bratty with an undertone of stupid, nativity. The “nut nuts” element is the age old male insult of unhinged, dramatic, crazy lady, designed to undermine and trivialises her intelligence.

Its a typical upper class privately educated boys insult, they never quite leave the everyone has a nickname mentality behind them.
Its insulting because it is designed to not sound that bad whilst belittling and demeaning the woman in their midst.

It's a crap nickname as lacks wit but Lee Cain is not upper class public school at all. And, no doubt, there are nicknames for Cummings and Cain as well. But whole shower, all of them, are absolutely ghastly.

Weirdly it has been clarified today that it is Princess Nut Nut, and not - as was previously reported - Princess Nut Nuts.

Is this all a front for something else? Is it meant to be romantic, that Boris sticks up for his lady and is not therefore a dirty shagger?

It's also been claimed that Boris said he 'wants to get the band back together for 2024' (next election) so it's not really that much of a falling out. Odd odd odd.

It's infuriating to think that those in charge are busy name calling and indulging in playground politics during the biggest crisis to face the country for a generation. 50,000 plus deaths, economy on its knees and oh just the small matter of leaving the EU in a few weeks and no oven ready deal as promised because they want to drive the country off a cliff to show the EU that we will take back control (of fish).

I'm no fan of Carrie but describing women has 'nuts' 'crazy' etc is incredibly misogynist - i.e. neurotic woman with no grip of reality - a tactic men use to denounce women. All of that said, she really shouldn't be as influential as she is but there we go - any semblance of democratic governance flew out the window as soon as Boris took office.
