I live in south east and so far in tier 1 and so far is all I keep hearing is there will be another lockdown , everything shut except supermarkets ? What do you all think?

Well as half term round here finishes on Friday, that reasoning would be an utter nonsense

SerenityFlowers · 20/10/2020 22:35

No

Redlocks28 · 20/10/2020 22:35

Nope!

RunBackwards · 20/10/2020 22:35

No.

gower4 · 20/10/2020 22:36

No

Ulpo · 20/10/2020 22:36

No

MegaClutterSlut · 20/10/2020 22:36

I'm also in the SE and I don't think there will be. Our numbers compared to up north are quite small in comparison

Varjakpaw · 20/10/2020 22:37

No. But for many reasons not all virus related I wish yes.

MTNT · 20/10/2020 22:38

Yes. Things are extremely bleak and we need to.

nancy75 · 20/10/2020 22:38

We are halfway through half term (London) so they aren’t doing it to coincide with that. The numbers in the South are so much lower than some Northern areas they just couldn’t justify it.

janetmendoza · 20/10/2020 22:42

No not this week but possibly sometime before Christmas

Thepilotlightsgoneout · 20/10/2020 22:43

No

Youandmeareluckytobeus · 20/10/2020 22:44

No

TheDuchessofMalfy · 20/10/2020 22:44

No I don’t think so. Especially as Labour have called for it.

Also, I think we’d have been told by now.

hammeringinmyhead · 20/10/2020 22:45

No. They'd have announced it by now. Even Boris would give a couple of days notice.

LangClegsInSpace · 20/10/2020 22:45

No, the government is not competent enough to do this.

LangClegsInSpace · 20/10/2020 22:50

We will probably get another national lockdown at some point but it will be far too late and there won't be any particular aims. Because the government is incompetent.

TheClitterati · 20/10/2020 22:52

No.

TokyoSushi · 20/10/2020 22:53

No, but I think that some more people might be in Tier 3

Brighterthansunflowers · 20/10/2020 22:54

Assuming you mean English then no.

The government would give more notice to businesses so if they were going to do it we’d know by now.

They will also want to give the tier system more of a chance to see whether it’s effective at reducing cases, especially having just battled to get greater Manchester into tier 3.

And they won’t want to look like they’re admitting the welsh and Irish (Both north and republic) have made the right decision.

Baaaahhhhh · 20/10/2020 22:54

No, because we are already on half term and first week of Nivember a lot of exams are on.

TheClitterati · 20/10/2020 22:54

In my area the rate is very low. 23 where national average is 198, and Manchester over 400. What round be the point in locking down here?

myrtilles · 20/10/2020 22:58

No

Justgivemewine · 20/10/2020 23:05

From my limited personal view, no I don’t thing we’ll have/need a national one. We are in the SE and we’ve made in to half term with 3 kids in 3 different schools and no isolation periods yet. Figures are very low where we are.
Plus some people are already half way through half term and the rest are next week. It’s a bit too late to decide to have a halfterm lockdown.

blue25 · 20/10/2020 23:07

No. Just localised lockdowns. Our numbers are low at the moment.
