To ask for ideas to get him to leave?

Had a few wines last night, got a guy round that I've been with a few times, had some more drinks, went to bed and didn't even sleep together (he wanted to, I didn't).

Anyway have only ever seen this guy in drinking capacity, and he usually leaves that night but he stayed over last night. I have been up since 7 am and he is still lying in my bed sleeping. I hate having someone I barely know in my house, it's awkward and feel like I'm walking on eggshells.

How do I get him to leave without being rude and with minimal interaction?

Start hoovering.

HollowTalk · 07/10/2020 09:43

Wake him up and tell him that you have to go out immediately so he has to get up and go.

User4152790 · 07/10/2020 09:44

Just go and wake him up, tell him you’re leaving shortly and need him out. You can say this perfectly politely; it’s not rude to ask someone to leave your house.

BlueRose18 · 07/10/2020 09:45

Just wake him up and say sorry I’ve got a lot to do today and need to start getting ready so if he wouldn’t mind leaving? Lol 🤷🏻‍♀️ I would also feel awkward in this situation

HollowTalk · 07/10/2020 09:46

Don't make coffee. You're out of milk, remember?

Don't either of you have to work?

Do you have children in the house?

mindfcuk · 07/10/2020 09:47

@HollowTalk I'm at uni, all online and nothing on today. He's nightshift tonight. My daughter at school but she was at her dads last night

Not sure about the time as I am in Aus but if your daughter is in school I would wake him and say "sorry, school has called and daughter unwell need to go collect immediately, you need to leave" or if earlier "ex just said DD not well enough for school ... as above".

mindfcuk · 07/10/2020 09:57

Good ideas everyone, gonna go up in 10 mins and get him to leave. Building myself up to it.

If you are so uncomfortable telling a man to leave your house, perhaps it's not wise to invite them in in the first place.

mindfcuk · 07/10/2020 10:04

@Whatsnewpussyhat haha I was waiting for you.

I'd bring him a cup of tea in bed and tell him you need to go out in half an hour.

022828MAN · 07/10/2020 10:05

Let us know how it goes!

Titsinknicks · 07/10/2020 10:07

Yes wake him up with a tea and say you're going out in 20 minutes.

sapnupuas · 07/10/2020 10:08

Ask him when he wants to announce the engagement.

HandfulofDust · 07/10/2020 10:11

Ask him when he wants to announce the engagement.

YES four weddings style!

mindfcuk · 07/10/2020 10:15

Ask him when he wants to announce the engagement.

Hahahaha that's actually a good one. I'm going to ask. Well I do have some errands to do so was going to get ready then wake him and offer him lift to train station? I don't really want to give him lift but kind of have to if going out.

OP posts:
Titsinknicks · 07/10/2020 10:17

Yes offering him a lift is very clear!

ShirleyPhallus · 07/10/2020 10:18

@sapnupuas

Ask him when he wants to announce the engagement.
Ha ha.

Or start loudly retching in the loo and then stand up, rub your tummy and say “gosh pregnancy is exhausting!”

imissthesouth · 07/10/2020 10:23

Tell him to leave, you want him out. Simple as that. it's your house! Please don't be embarrassed to ask him to leave, the offering lift situation is a good idea though

Monday55 · 07/10/2020 10:26

Tell him "you love him" he'll either be out of there before you finish your sentence or he'll reciprocate 50/50 chance Grin

mindfcuk · 07/10/2020 10:28

@Monday55 hahaha he's a bit of a strange one, I don't think much would put him off to be honest.

I am dying for the toilet also, ugggh can not wait till he leaves 😂

022828MAN · 07/10/2020 11:13

Did you get him out??

Scweltish · 07/10/2020 11:15

What’s happening? Has he gone? 😂
