KerryMucklowe · 06/10/2020 18:00

Poundland noodles are the best

PossiblyPattio · 06/10/2020 18:00

They ones i'm eating are 'mie gorang' flavour which is an indonesian delicacy I think Smile

Tell me of their loveliness. (I can't eat wheat but I can live vicariously through others!)

howmanyroads · 06/10/2020 18:01

I love these!! I get the hot and spicy ones. Even had a bowl for breakfast last week Grin

Notimeforaname · 06/10/2020 18:02

I must look them up. Hoping there are meat free flavours. I'm usually a Koka noodles girl. Curry flavour.

HeeeeyDuggee · 06/10/2020 18:02

They are the best! I used to live by a Chinese supermarket and they were my favourite.

MsEllany · 06/10/2020 18:02

I think mie gorang has ginger and lemongrass in it, because that’s about the only one I don’t like! Grin

MsEllany · 06/10/2020 18:03

Shrimp flavour are my favourite. They do repeat on me something chronic though.

PossiblyPattio · 06/10/2020 18:03

Be warned!! Once you have a taste you won't be able to go back, it's tearing my marriage and my family apart!!! Grin

Grin Do you every add anything to yours?

tortiecat · 06/10/2020 19:29

Good find @PossiblyPattio!!! When I was at uni I lived off these (Special Chicken was my fave), they're great plain but sometimes I'd drop an egg in to poach and mix some spinach in at the end as well (picture of health, student me Grin). don't know what makes them so addictive but I love them!

fastandthecurious · 06/10/2020 19:29

Koka noodles are the best. The spicy stir fry ones. You can get them in b&m.

FreshEggs · 06/10/2020 19:41

I’m addicted to the Koka Tom Yum and Spicy stir fry ones, but they are nearly 400cals a pack which is a bit much for a snack!
I’ve got some indomie ones but they are a slightly thicker noodle.

I saw a meme once which called them ‘depression food’ which I sometimes relate to!

Does anyone know of any lower calorie ones?

PossiblyPattio · 06/10/2020 19:42

Sadly i'm allergic to eggs Sad Haven't tried adding anything, no!

OP posts:
Holothane · 06/10/2020 19:43

I love them and no I don’t feel guilty either.

LionLily · 06/10/2020 19:43

I like to make a thin broth of low salt chicken stock and then pop some dehydrated ramen into it,leave for a few minutes. Delicious. Perhaps a chopped spring onion, or some chunks of poached chicken. Maybe a wilted leaf of pak Choi on a posh night.
In my youth, back in the 80s, I was addicted to Supernoodles.

SuperEkstra · 06/10/2020 19:48

OP apparently they're a product of Ghana 🧐

PossiblyPattio · 07/10/2020 08:49

Guess what i'm having for breakfast!! Grin
