And does it affect your relationship at all?

OP posts:
teablanket · 11/08/2020 11:54

My partner, by a landslide. It doesn't really impact our relationship.

UnfinishedSymphon · 11/08/2020 11:54

Never thought about it, maybe because I'm not shallow and couldn't care less?

thedaywewillremeber · 11/08/2020 11:56

I would say him but I’m very insecure.

Pelleas · 11/08/2020 12:24

We were both at the back of the queue when looks were given out!

CaptainVanesHair · 11/08/2020 12:26

DH now (we used to be more even) he’s an acquired black-haired Hemsworth meets 90s boyband taste though.

It makes me self conscious sometimes but doesn’t directly affect the relationship.

VinylDetective · 11/08/2020 12:27

I used to be. He said he was punching well above his weight. Age has taken its toll and we’re about even now.

Monkeynuts18 · 11/08/2020 12:28

I was when we first got together 11 years ago. I’d say he is now.

Tingalingle · 11/08/2020 12:29

Me, till I look in a mirror Blush. Always a surprise to realise who that hairy middle-aged woman is. He has nice hair and great legs though.

Spied · 11/08/2020 12:29

Partner- although I don't see myself as being too bad ( I think I look a lot better than than I actually do - often get a shock when I catch sight of myself in a mirrorHmm).

ClementineWoolysocks · 11/08/2020 12:29

I don't consider this question at all.

Menora · 11/08/2020 12:29

He says I am. I don’t think I am I think we are equal/have our own traits of attractiveness.

I think he’s a nicer person than me though and looks aren’t everything. So he thinks I’m better looking and I think he’s a better person so surely this would even out a bit 😂

I think he felt insecure when we first met and intimidated by my looks in his eyes but over time he seems to feel less insecure and more confident in himself. I don’t like it if someone talks about leagues or punching above weight so I soon stopped that 😂

I think if you feel very insecure then this is your own issue not the other persons

NotEverythingIsBlackandWhite · 11/08/2020 12:29

I think we are about even.

Tingalingle · 11/08/2020 12:29

Ha, Spied is my spiritual twin.

Spied · 11/08/2020 12:29

Doesn't affect relationship

Spied · 11/08/2020 12:31
Grin
2toe · 11/08/2020 12:32

My face is better looking, his body is amazing so we are even, has no affect whatsoever on our relationship.

HowFastIsTooFast · 11/08/2020 12:33

I think I'm the one punching above my weight, DP thinks he is..

I suppose that's about as good a situation as we could be in!

TheAquaticDuchess · 11/08/2020 12:34

I think we’re both attractive, but him more so - he’s absolutely gorgeous. He has a beautiful blue eyes / black hair combo and a fabulous strong jaw. He’s also very tall, which I like. People (like my mum / sister / close friends) have commented on how good looking he is in the past.

TheAquaticDuchess · 11/08/2020 12:34

Should have said - doesn’t affect our relationship! We both really fancy each other Grin

TheAquaticDuchess · 11/08/2020 12:36

Never thought about it, maybe because I'm not shallow and couldn't care less?

hoiks bosom disapprovingly

ladybee28 · 11/08/2020 12:37

At the moment, I'd say definitely my partner.

We used to be fairly evenly matched, but then I got train-track braces and I'm now spending a couple of years looking like Drew Barrymore in Never Been Kissed Grin.

He, on the other hand, is regularly told he looks like a Latino Tom Hardy. And they're not wrong Wink

Who do you consider to be better looking, you or your partner?
BeeyatchPlease · 11/08/2020 12:39

It used to be me and then I piled on the baby weight which I have struggled to shift and my skin isn't anywhere near as good as it used to be.
DH seems to get better with age, it's just not fair!
I wouldn't say it impacts our relationship at all.

Trisolaris · 11/08/2020 12:42

I am more conventionally so but he’s more popular and charming.

KitKatastrophe · 11/08/2020 12:43

Definitely my husband.
I've lost some weight recently so maybe we are a bit closer but he is still definitely more attractive. I dont think it affects out relationship though

citychick · 11/08/2020 12:48

DH is much better looking than I am.
Blue eyes, thick head of hair, handsome profile.
He's not buff by any means. I'm the one with more tone to my body.

I scrub up quite nicely but I'll never be a patch on him. His younger brother is almost movie star handsome.
