I may be drunk and feeling nostalgic here. But AIBU to think in 1994 he was beautiful?!

Never got what people saw in him. Even in 1994 I wouldn’t have.

Spaceprincess · 26/06/2020 22:30

I thought he was gorgeous back in the day

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 26/06/2020 22:32

I still would

Whatnext2018 · 26/06/2020 22:32

My favourite year..16 years old. Didn’t fancy him, but it was a great year for music and life 👏

@trebletheclef That’s the Manc walk, all the boys walked like that when I was a kid (Manchester)

lazylinguist · 26/06/2020 22:33

YABU. He looked like a grubby, unkempt low-browed neanderthal.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 26/06/2020 22:34

expat Nuno Bettancourt 😍😍😍

But in 1994 the Most Beautiful Man In The World was Marti Pellow. He is still bloody gorgeous and I still would. Even my DH was always very aware I consider Marti the epitome of fit.

ilovecardigans · 26/06/2020 22:34

Rosetta Stone and Libitina, I'd have done both their lead singers.

👍

Zisforstripyoss · 26/06/2020 22:38

YABU, I liked Oasis' music more, but I was into Damon Albarn myself. And also, shamefully, Tony from East 17!

LazyDaisy10 · 26/06/2020 22:38

He was gorgeous, but when he opens his mouth...just cringe a complete knob

Timeforanotherusername · 26/06/2020 22:39

Marti Pellow - he's a bit of a twat now too.

I was a fan in the 80's and Wets was my 1st ever concert.

KetoWinnie · 26/06/2020 22:41

Handsome yes, but so nuts.

FudgeBrownie2019 · 26/06/2020 22:41

I've found myself liking Liam so much more over the last year or so. He's mellowed, he takes the piss out of himself a lot more and my taste in men has become questionably terrible.

I used to fancy Noel. Even with the Lego man helmet hair and monobrow he had something going on.

Maybe my taste in men has always been odd.

gingganggooleywotsit · 26/06/2020 22:42

He was good looking but very gormless and a bit thick looking!

michaelangelosmum · 26/06/2020 22:43

I’ve just watched their 94 Glastonbury set and I have to say he was pretty beautiful back then
Ha that's what I was watching! Take me back...

Genuinely, I think there are a tiny number of people in well known bands who aren't complete cocks. Or don't turn into complete bellends.

Sertchgi123 · 26/06/2020 22:48

Looks like a thug to me.

Sugarplumfairy65 · 26/06/2020 22:48

He's a prick! Was once on the same flight as me to Orlando international airport. Him and the woman he was with tried to push to the front of the queue going through immigration. He soon got told!

GreyishDays · 26/06/2020 22:48

Still is gorgeous, I’d say. But also a twat.

wildone84 · 26/06/2020 22:51

He was most unattractive, the photo I saw of him spitting on an audience made him very grim

FizzyGreenWater · 26/06/2020 22:53

Gosh no. He's a perfect example of someone who would never have turned a head if he weren't famous. Just plain. If the best you can say is good eyelashes then it's not great Grin

Brett Anderson
Johnny Radiohead

genuinely attractive

lotusbell · 26/06/2020 22:54

@expatinspain, corrrrrrrrrrrr!!! Thanks for that, I'm retiring to bed now! Wink

Echobelly · 26/06/2020 22:57

He's an awful human being, but he was very beautiful, especially when not scowling.

I've seen him in the flesh a few times around North London and he is still strikingly handsome, in a rather craggy way!

CharlottaCarlotta · 26/06/2020 22:58

Whenever I see him now I instantly think of the Kevin & Perry sketch.

WinWinnieTheWay · 26/06/2020 22:59

He is a thug.

AlexandPea · 26/06/2020 23:09

He was lovely back in the day.

He was also really polite, friendly to his fans and nice to my mum when I met him.
