Haha - I've just found their '94 set on the red as button. I wasn't a huge fan at the time - I think because by the time I became aware of them, they were a lot grubbier and hairier. Also the girls at school who were mad fans were also pretty unpleasant.

Hell no. He was and still is a knob. Damon Albarn and Ritchie from the Manics were way easier on the eye and less annoying.

I’ve just watched their 94 Glastonbury set and I have to say he was pretty beautiful back then, I never ever thought it at the time though. As a pp mentioned, Alex James was the beautiful one of the Brit pop era at the time for me. I quite like that he now has a farm and makes cheese.
